“Building through the draft” means “we’re to cheap to get quality free agents.” Make no mistake the issues with the Cowboys is mainly the front office. Jerry and Stephen specifically. Nearly 30 years of mediocrity can’t be blamed on the coach although that’s what will happen. They could easily upgrade the Center position, WR, and DT positions yet choose not too. That’s on Jerry and Stephen. No team can address every single need in the draft on a yearly basis. It’s gonna be a long year. If I were Sean Payton I would not answer my phone when Jerry calls.
