Kelce is arguably the greatest TE in NFL history. He’s versatile and too hard to cover.
As a lifelong Chiefs fan…I have to put him at 2nd. Tony G revolutionized the position and Kelce has a long way to go to catch him in to many categories.

He’s the greatest receiving tight-end ever, no competition in that department and the numbers show that
– top 2 single season tight end receiving yards (1336, 1416)
– most 1000 yard receiving seasons by a tight end (6)
– most consecutive 1000 yard receiving seasons by a tight end (6)
As a Overall tight end? maybe there’s a argument but I value transcendent passing much more than blocking imo

@Lance Wilcoxson very true. But Kelce has done something that TE has done or could possibly ever replicate. 6 straight 1,000 yard seasons. Yes he’s more know for being a receiving TE but he can block and he’s very good at reading the field. He makes himself get open and ensures he puts himself in the right position for Patrick Mahomes.
Kelce is the Gold Standard in the NFL as a TE, and as a Man.

I remember after he was drafted I checked out his college film. I knew instantly that this guy had a serious upside but when he got hurt that first year I thought it all might be a mirage. But Kelce is every bit, and far more, than my wildest dreams. Sometimes you can just tell in college tape whether someone will thrive in the NFL or never really measure up. He should have been a round 1 pick, and frankly the college tape suggested that. Just a fabulous player and so fun to watch.
