When Sharpe left in 1994, I had no idea who Freeman was and was barely aware of Brooks. Those receivers of 1995 didn’t seem any better than Watkins, Cobb, Lazard, Watson, and Doubs do to me the 2022 preseason. Tonyan seems to be a better pass catcher than Chmura. The Jones/Dillion/Taylor could give Bennett/Levens a run for their money. I would also argue that Rodgers of today is way more accurate than Favre ever was. The loss of Adams isn’t gonna keep this team from the SB. The absence of a HOF receiver isn’t gonna stop us. Going into 2010 we had a aging Driver, legit superstars in Jennings and Finley. And two inconsistent but talented young guys in Jones and Nelson. Finley was lost in week 5. If we can get a Aaaron Jones type of year, Tonyan back, and average production out of Watkins and Cobb, with one young receiver that can be relied upon by the end of the year, we will be more than fine. avoid the injury bug. Our defense will win games this year.
