Note to the Browns front office….if you’re counting on Schwartz to last the entire year AND show that he can catch the ball reliably AND show that he can consistently get open on routes that are not fly patterns and post routes….you might want to strongly consider going to get Andy Isabella and bring the local product back home or at least waiting until the Cardinals release him if you want to save the draft capital.
@CancelAnime according to Schwartz Baker made the wrong read (surprise) which means the pass should not have gone to Schwartz…that might explain why Schwartz didn’t run the route to completion and it might also explain why Baker tried to become a DB after the interception which would be a way of making up for the mistake he knew he made.
If I wanted to really be critical I could say Baker worked so much on the side with Beckham only to rarely throw him the ball but goes off script to throw it to an unproven rookie with whom he had put in relatively little work with.
@Coach Humph It wasn’t the wrong read all Schwartz had to do was finish his route and there’s no reason it shouldn’t be a completion.. Idc if he was gonna take a big hit it’s the NFL if you can’t do that then football ain’t your sport.. Schwartz deflecting blame is not a good look especially considering Stetanski publicly blamed him for that pick..
@Coach Humph LOL at this point everybody, or most know that Baker isn’t good enough. Regardless of who’s right and wrong, they both had to go. What they have now is better.
