@Dale Dan-Irabor It don’t matter how good a GM is; u can ony manipulate the cap so much until u have to make cuts and get value with younger players in the draft. Chiefs GM Veach is one of the best and he manipulated the cap the last 2-3 years but the bill came due this off-season and they couldn’t sign Tyreek, Mathieu and possibly Orlando Brown Jr here soon. But by trading Hill it saved them $30mill in cap space and got 5 draft pics which they used on WRs and rebuilt the defense.

Not if you pick good players in the later rounds.

@Edward Halverson Large percent of those players end up cut or become back up role players. Teams can’t rely on that.

I’ve been telling everyone that if Kupp was in that Super Bowl, Rams would’ve won for sure. No doubt about it. People forget the season he was having right before his ACL tore.

They have an owner who is willing to put all the contract money into an escrow account. Most owners will not do that. Then it’s up to the GM (Snead) to balance those funds out through out the contract years,

@Jalil Bryant The NFL won the Super Bowl for the Rams because Kroenke was broke after paying St Louis $2 billion, building a $5 billion stadium, and Covid season having no fans. LA teams can’t sustain fans without championships every other year. It was a business decision. All the calls were for the Rams against the Bucs and Aaron Donald was allowed to be 3 feet offside the Bengals final play for a sack when Jalen Ramsey fell down and Ja’Marr Chase was wide open for a TD to win.

Stafford was never great, he’s always been talented. But he’s not a team leader and had to join a super squad full of future hall of famers to win. You can win with Stafford but you won’t win because of Stafford.
