So happy with this, I feel better with him in the slot than I do Asante. I watched Asante grow at FSU and he was better outside than the slot and I don’t like the idea of forcing him into a position he isnt as good at. This is a W signing, i also don’t want davis on the field at all so move ASJ outside😭
@dee bee as a competing team michael davis is someone you want as a depth piece, i feel like he’s cb4 with the bryce callahan signing. he don’t act worth $10m especially if jc jackson is getting paid 16, that’s why

2 concussions already just playing outside corner, also most of his best plays were outside, I want Davis on the field less too so I want Asante outside

@dee bee dudes an undated free agent and is constantly getting exposed, if we want to be a championship caliber team he needs to go.
@A Davis struggled pretty bad last season adjusting to the new defensive style but he was also trying to play injured, and that also didn’t help. Look what the Chargers did to Casey Hayward in 2020 (who was also playing injured) and look how well he did last season with the Raiders. Gotta give him another chance or at least let him redeem his success from the 2019 and 2020 seasons when he is was thriving stopping premiere elite-speed WRs.
The defense will be too good!
At this point offense might be our weakness , only because the defense is so stacked

It’s a quality signing when he’s on the field which he hasn’t been much the last few seasons because of injuries.
@Dan Deitch Right, depth should definitely not be a concern this year. Of course guys will get banged up, but as long as we have guys that can fill those holes when needed is a testament to what Staley might actually be about this season.
