Mariota finna get his name back……. he finna be Mari-goat-a again

Keith Spencer

Desmond is learning right now.

    J Mapp

@Keith Spencer Yeah man the fans have to be patient through the process.. All teams go through it. Our fans are brutal and not patient. I know we haven’t won one yet. But I think that it is coming.

    Keith Spencer

@J Mapp they ain’t gon have a choice they just gon be mad as hell. Because I see Arthur Smith following the plan he trying to have winning seasons he can’t listen to them

    Keith Spencer

We have some competitive coaches this time

    J Mapp

@Keith Spencer They are making decisions that people might not like.. Releasing Matt Ryan was one of them.. But in my head they problem we have had is we hold onto people too long. Let them go..

    Keith Spencer

@J Mapp That’s all it was. It was time for Julio and Matt to go. You can’t stay in the same space spinning wheels and that’s what they were doing

Hi Scott Bair tori bring the news

Tony Wright

Deon Jones will be traded the indicator for me on this wascwhen the Falcons traded for ILB Nick Kwiatkoski, that makes him the 6th credible inside LB on the roster, the team traded for Kwiatkoski, they signed ILB Rashaad Evans in free agency and drafted ILB Troy Andersen, ILB Mykal Walker was drafted by the previous regime in 2020 but played well in 2021 and will probably be a starter along with Rashaad Evans at ILB, Kwiatkoski & Andersen will be the backups which has Deon Jones as the odd man out

    JDL

A healthy Deion jones can make us even better because he is the best linebacker we have rn…his stats proves it … honestly we should do wat we did with Grady if he comes healthier… Deion can help teach the youngins

    Tony Wright

@JDL This is true but if we keep him and we just drafted Troy Andersen & traded for Nick Kwiatkoski what do we do as far as the numbers game keep 5 inside LB’s

    JDL

@Tony Wright there are more to the positions then just ilb, olb, and mlb . Deion jones was a left inside same as mykal and nick while rashaad evans and Troy is right inside linebacker. But Deion could get cut depending on health and if he willing to redesign his contract like Grady. We have a lot of 4th string we can cut but we won’t start seeing cuts until training camp.

    Tony Wright

@JDL I understand the game of football sir, and I know the differences in positions with terminologies & schemes whether it on the professional level or collegiate level, I’ve been following the game of football for a long time

    Tony Wright

@JDL And I hope that we can keep Deon Jones but with it being a numbers game an all and the fact that the team can save between 11 to 12 million dollars against the salary cap if they trade him and the fact that we traded for Nick Kwiatkoski and drafted Troy Andersen to me paint’s a picture of the writing being on the wall

Tony Wright

Deon Jones won’t be moved to the outside linebacker position due to the Falcons signing OLB Lorenzo Carter in free agency, drafting OLB Adetokunbo Ogundeji as they will be the starters

    JDL

Lorenzo carter is strong side with Malone and adetokunbo is weak side with Arnold. Also Arnold might start we gone see.

    Tony Wright

@JDL True dat, agreed Arnold Ebiketie is a unique talent that has to start, we traded up from the 44th pick to the 38th pick in the 2nd round to draft him because the Seattle Seahawks were going to take him with the 40th pick as our scouting department found this out so we traded up giving up our 4th round draft pick in this years draft to get him, it was a priority to do so

    Tony Wright

@JDL Seattle ended up drafting OLB Boye Mofi (Minnesota) (who I also liked along with Ebiketie & DeAngelo Malone) instead

Tony Wright

The Falcons also he drafted OLB’s Arnold Ebiketie & DeAngelo Malone as they will backup Adetokunbo Ogundeji & Lorenzo Carter in the OLB rotation
