I like how he takes his time and thinks before answering each question.

    Frederick Ephran

    @Isaac Chavez I did actually

    ProlificFlare

    Very aaron judge like

    Frederick Ephran

    @Isaac Chavez bless your heart

    C!odeMonkey

@ProlificFlare That’s exactly who popped in my head when I saw him do that.

    ryanjguerra

Very calming, it was great lol

John Toscano

He’s going to surprise ALOT of people. Dudes a physical specimen and plays with fire. We haven’t had that in years. Now all of a sudden we are a team full of it. Can’t wait for this season

Christopher Beck

I’m very impressed with this young man. Methodical thinker.

    Matt N

    Exactly!

    Tha wavy Runner

    Indeed

    Mario Spina

I love the fact that he sits for second, and really thinks about his answer. I was a little skeptical about the pick, but this young man is the real deal!

    Playboi7t9

Yo man we really got some humble draft picks and I couldn’t be happier to have such well mannered players join the Jets..

    Grogomeister

I agree, he’s seen his share of adversity and has matured from it. Seems he has a strong foundation to build upon, hope he puts fears in opposing QBs wearing green and white for many years to come

Logan

I love how he thinks before he speaks… he gives a real answer not just what people want to hear. I see why JD and Saleh drafted him

    lcaldwell3rd

I came here from my Google feed to say EXACTLY that. He considers whether each question has any front page making ramifications and those questions he answered VERY diplomatically. Either he is smart, or he has been made aware the pitfalls of answering “the wrong way.”

    Very impressed!

    flawed911

I wish more people did this, think before they just blurt cliches or standardized answers. I do it often just because I’ve never been really quick with recollection but..

    Cooper Stine

Was gonna comment the same thing, a wise man

    Jonathan Glass

Agreed on all responses. Very unique – and impressed. At first – you wonder. And then he responds clearly and articulately with well thought out answers

    Jordan

    Facts

Fat Gandalf

I’m a little upset. JD and Coach Salah never said we drafted the second coming of Deacon Jones. I love this guy!!!

    Alex Murphy

Great comparison I was thinking james Harrison lol

    Arkham Knight

I was thinking more like Thanos

    Fat Gandalf

    @Arkham Knight I’ll allow that.

Brendan Keane

This dude is so calm and jacked it’s almost terrifying

PositivP 3

I like his demeanor. As a player this guy is different I’m telling you.
Not only physical and violent but instinctive.

    Antonio Misel

I think we got a gem. He plays with an attitude and high motor. I like the pick.

Andrew McAllister

Clemons sounds like a Villain, I love his voice, he plays like one too. I love how he handled the beat reporter turds and their simpleton questions. He will make a Major Impact, wait and see.

    J B

My guy sounds like Marcellus Wallace.

Ronald MAC Don

This MAN is a DEEP thinker and that type of insight he’s giving to us all is a good start to show his character off/on the field.

    JZBLK

    @KC Smooth 😂

    Josh203

    Definitely a deep thinker

JetOrange

Intelligent , articulate young man, with a great smile, beautiful smile..Jets are fortunate to be able Draft Michael. Excitement

    Column Wheel

Very very enlightening. Love this guy already.

    JetOrange

@Column Wheel  Rooting for him already, love this Draft Class

calvin watson

This dude gonna be a problem for the rest of the league trust me he’s poised like a vet the Jets struck gold with MC Hammer!

    Lyndon Westcott

    I like it!!

JetOrange

Understand why he was a Captain at A&M, he will become a Captain with the Jets.

Zuker Gill

That was 1000 times better than what I thought it would be! He’s going to be fun to watch.

    Biggus Dickus

In his draft interview I thought he was a serial killer bruh. Completely blank white walls and I don’t remember if he ever blinked. I’m starting to like him more tho

Gerard Davis

Like I told several people Clemens is a special talent he’s going to take us to the promised land he will be a big piece

Richard Lugo

I really feel bad for the tackle who’s assigned to stopping him. This kids a beast! He thinks before he speaks, good sign of a man who takes his career seriously.

    Raymond Brown

    Great point

    Galen Gallagher

I doubt Mike will ever see this but my name is Galen. I was a walk-on o-lineman for Texas A&M for the past 4 years from 2018-2021. For 2 out of the three years mike was active I was his scout team left tackle. So we’d go against each other about 4 days a week during the season. He’s a heck of a guy. Not only physically but he matured a lot in the 4 years I knew him. Natural born leader, has his head on straight and is always looking to make himself better. You guys drafted one hell of a man and I wish him the best 👍🏻

    Barney Miller

@Galen Gallagher Good to hear from a fellow player. Is he as scary on the field as he looks?

    Galen Gallagher

Yeah he had that demeanor. And it wasn’t just for show either. And he was a massive guy, I was 6’ 4” and had to I had to physically look up to him. Best thing about him was that every time you faced him you knew you were getting his best. I sure felt it 😅. But it didn’t matter how late it was in practice or who he was going against he was getting a full rep. He used to get mad at the other scout team guys cause they were half-assing reps and weren’t giving him a good enough look. Had a lot of respect in the locker room as well. He’s good at keeping his composure and keeping his head on straight on and off the field

    Barney Miller

@Galen Gallagher Awesome! Thanks for the inside info. I’m a lifelong Jet fan who never played (except pick up games in the park as a kid with my fake Jet helmet). I’m only just now (in my 50s!) learning more about the ins & outs of the game. Watching stuff like Last Chance U is really informative. Tough game. Even for those who don’t go pro. You still playing? USFL, Canada? Arena? HA! So many options. Or are you just a fan like the rest of us now?

JetSektor

Praying for him to succeed. Seems humble 🙏🏼

J. 1

The way he paused to take a moment to consider what was at the heart of some of those poorly worded/poorly considered questions and then thoughtfully answer what the reporters were trying to get at with their question was really impressive. I can’t wait to see what he brings to the Jets! Good luck, Mr. Clemons!

    Peter Campisi

When he rotates in, he’s going to smash people. I like that. Our Edges are pretty well sown up. Great job by Joe DExpect big things from Q1 and JFM as well

    Ross Cohen

It also gives insight into how he plays. Methodical. Takes a moment to pause and think out a play. You combine the instincts, the smarts, the physical makeup, the controlled aggression and you have a potential weapon of mass destruction.

Jet Fan For Life

Heartbreaking he was a lone when he was drafted, but he has a family in the New york football Jets who will support him

    Meka Lyday

He has a very good support system and a family who has always supported him. This was his choice. Nothing more Nothing less

logan hartrum

“You make a guy quickly respect when you hit him in the mouth over and over again” god I love this quote

Ayenn Stark

He is officially my favorite JET. Didn’t know much about him, but after this interview? Yeah; you have to respect this guy. He’s smart and listens and thinks before answering. That’s a sign of intelligence. So happy he’s on our team.
