I agree with you Garrett. Mike Macdonald’s Pass Rusher Friendly Scheme is going to do wonders for this unit. And even if Tyus Bowser and David Ojabo aren’t back Week 1, we still have Oweh, and Houston. All we need on defense is for Patrick Queen and Josh Bynes to excel in this new defense.

    i like the motor of Maduibuke i have seen on most plays … If MacDonald can unlock his potential of finishing that will be huge! We been lacking interior pressure since Ngata and inside pressure would help our outside rushers so much. Let PQ still fly around everywhere (despite him missing tackles, how COME he is the first player there to the ball carrier??, NO ONE ever mentions that). Hopefully Bynes or another LB can somewhat control the middle of the field.

Having watched Raven after Raven go down with achilles injuries from J Smith to M Ingram and though Ojabo may get on the field this year it is really the second year that they actually get their mobility and strength back so the Houston signing is more important than people consider. Since Ojabo’s injury was sustained late in the draft process it wont be til mid next year (not this year) before he hits his stride. My opinion is sign another edge rusher and just put him on IR and get him ready for the 2023 season.
