I wonder whether Thielen will be on a snap count this year. It would be nice to see him get through a regular season for a change in what might be his last year.

@Not Surge Right now Thielen’s 2023 salary guarantees about 5 days into the 2023 league year, and we would have a cap hit of $19m in 2023 and $21m in 2024, which I cannot see Kwesi paying for a 33 year old WR.
So the best way out for Kwesi would be to make him a post June 1st cut for about a $6m dead cap hit. I agree I think Thielen would rather retire than be cut, then maybe come back on a cheap deal.
Harry is in exactly the same position next year.
In an ideal world I guess they would both retire, and then comeback on a deal like Pat Pete, and be back ups and situational players like a 3rd down edge rusher.
The reality is that they’re both very likely in their last season, unless they both completely redo their contracts.

Loved Kevin while he was with Washington. I hope he does great things with Minnesota.
This guy just seems like a genuine dude. Happy we picked him over Harbaugh. It just seems like that would have been a lateral move from zimmer, and we would have been dealing with some of the same mediocrity.

O’Connell was not my first pick for our head coach, but damn have I been proven wrong. Every answer given was exactly what I wanted to hear for what I think is best for the Vikings. I believe that the few key parts of our game that keep us from winning a championship, this guy has answers for. Lets just see if we can get it down and perfected in time.
