Justyn Ross: “I’m trying to play my part on the team” | Press Conference 5/8 – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE

I hope he stays healthy and makes the roster, lots of potential 👌

john estaban

I believe he will be one of our top receivers this year if he can stay healthy ..

    Danny Staab

@Orlando Sabbath Well, the Chiefs are gonna likely keep 6 wide receivers in total. JuJu, MVS, Hardman, and Moore are locks to make the final 53. The number 6 spot will be filled by a receiver that’s good on special teams like a Daurice Fountain so that leaves one spot left. It’s far from a guarantee that he’s the one remaining guy. That all being said, I would love to see it, although I certainly wouldn’t bet the mortgage on it.

    Joshua

@Danny Staab he wont go to the practice squad he 100% would be poached most likely goes to NFI list if he doesnt make the roster.

    Danny Staab

@Joshua I hear ya, but if he wasn’t even drafted that means most teams took him off their draft boards because of medical issues. Spinal fusion is no joke, and that flat out scared off teams. I think he’s obviously being valued differently by the general public; teams clearly feel differently or someone would have taken a flier on him in the 7th round.

    Joshua

@Danny Staab Yeah but in this case they wouldnt be drafting him they would just be poaching him. KC has a VERY good medical team and other teams know this. He will go to either NFI or possibly IR if he doesnt make the 53 which i think he very well could.

    Matt Gage

@Danny Staab finally some common sense. Reports from camp were he was just a guy. Didn’t stand out at all. That could change for sure but I feel like he’s a grab and stash

Ryan Wills

Don’t be surprised when this kid makes the 53 then catches TDs on Sundays this season!!!

    Weary Kawhi

@Brandon Dixon juju isn’t that big he’s hardly 6 foot tall

    Dan Wright

I hope he plays in the Thursday, Monday and Saturday games too!

    Paul Hill

He has the right stuff to be an elite receiver! This kid is on another level….

    Eddie Cahall

@Paul Hill he’s had some serious injuries early in his career tho. KC is in panic mode for a standout reciever this year After trading Hill to the Phins. They were taking a stab in the dark selecting an injured Ross in the draft. All other teams passed on him because of this. Teams aren’t as stupid as one may think! If it weren’t for these red flags, yeah I would believe he would be a future standout! Others should be warned of this as well.

    Eric Siggins

    more productive than tyreek guaranteed

Quavo.d

I’m a rams fan but I have to say don’t be surprised if he goes for a 1000 yards this season he’s that good y’all, just unfortunate things happened along the way

    SleekMagician

As a chiefs fan I won’t be surprised if he’s a 1000yrd receiver but even if he’s not as long as he stays healthy and works hard im happy to have a player like him

Tatum Floyd

What a man.
I wish the best for him can’t wait till he’s putting on a gold jacket

    G M

Coming from a lifetime chiefs fan. Pump the brakes.

    Moe

@G M if he stays healthy he can definitely become a top wideout in the NFL for years to come..

    G M

@Moe I totally agree. But I said pump the breaks on the gold jacket. Let’s make the roster first. Trust me, I’ll ALL in.

    alister49

Gold jacket? U mean he better get a spot the team 😂

    David Harrold

Slow your roll sir.. haha. Baby steps

Elmer Majano

Rooting for you bro 💪 🙏 hope you have a successful season.

Mica L

💗 Love Justyn’s attitude. He knows he has the skills and talent to do well in the NFL if he stays healthy.

I’ve been watching his story for the past few days and I am so invested in this young man. I just want him to succeed and be happy.

Christopher Crowder

I like this kid a lot. I really hope he continues to stay healthy and makes the kind of impact on our team that he is capable of making. If that happens, we have more Lombardi Trophies in our near future.

-_No-Cap

Really feel for this dude. Been through a lot. He’ll make the roster fo sure. Good luck to him

Brooks S

Mark my words. This is the dude.

Anakin Skywalker

So excited to see what this guy can do. He has the potential to be like an (prime) AJ Green type of player at some point, if he stays healthy

    Ryan Vee

    That’s a big if

Zachary Koehnlein

man, I am so glad we got this dude, I wish the best for him and think he can be a beast on the Chiefs offense

MrKneller

I am SO happy we took a chance on this kid. Somebody had to. He deserves at least that much. I’m just thrilled it’s KC.

Chris Manchester

Very unique to have a UDFA at the podium. Even during rookie mini camp. Feels like a good sign.

    ChiefsFan4Life

Yup Chiefs don’t let UDFA’s take the podium if there not making the team.. this is something Reid & Veach typically don’t do & I don’t remember an UDFA being on podium during rookie Mini Camp it’s just typically the draft picks only that get interviewed so it’s a clear sign indeed..

This is another clear sign he gonna be on this team at the 5th or 6th WR spot to start then become a starter in 2023 with Moore & MVS plus Ross making it gives us 3 WR’s under contract next off-season which

I mentioned above so yeah this is a clear sign he will be on this team it just won’t be official until the Monday b4 week 1!

    William D

Numbers don’t lie. Both on Youtube and Twitter he is the most watched rookie. People get the feeling that Ross will eventualy be a star and WR#1.

    Mica L

The Chiefs organization is seeing the hype and excitement around Justyn, so that’s probably why they let him speak at the podium.
Go on Reddit or twitter and see the hype. He has double the amount of views on his video (the podium Q&A) of any of the draft picks.

    Arthas Menethil

    @ChiefsFan4Life WR 5, or 6. Try 1 or 2.

    ChiefsFan4Life

@Arthas Menethil 5 or 6 this year silly 1 or 2 next year I already said that

Logan Schultz

This dude is gonna make the team and ball. All he needed was an opportunity to make a team

Ramiro Alvarez

I like this kid. To be that talented and have to go through all the injuries and still be humble, wow. You gotta be tough to do that. All the best, my guy! You’re gonna be a STAR!

    Mica L

    Well said 👍

Barrett

Best of luck to this dude. Stand up guy. Hope he stays healthy, makes plays for us, and gets paid.

HuckleberryRattler

I just have a feeling that Ross is going to explode in this offense. I would not be surprised if he puts up 500+ yards and a few TD’s by the end of the season. Then it’s only up from there. Could be a star in the making and I sure hope so. He’s worked hard for it and has the right attitude.

    Arthas Menethil

    1500 yards 14 touchdowns. 4 Rushing, 2
throwing. 2 punt return touchdowns. And a 40 yard field goal. He’s not only gonna win OROY, but Offensive player of the year and get mvp votes. BOOK IT. The league let us get the next Jerry Rice.

    HuckleberryRattler

@Arthas Menethil do you understand how long it took to develop any of the skill position players on our offense? Travis Kelce did not pop off in his first year. Tyreek Hill did not pop off in his first year. None of the other players have popped off in their first year. You need to be realistic man. Andy Reid does not put players in a position to fail. He is going to take time to develop Ross and he probably won’t see significant snaps until either the end of the season or next year. I hope I’m wrong but I think you guys are kidding yourselves if you think that he’s going to blow up like that this year.

Kody Martin

Really hope he makes this team.

SMH Ace of Spades

Justyn Ross is your PERFECT STORM when it comes to what you will expect to see from a player and the road he has traveled. First you know for sure he has all the skill and ability to make a huge impact. Second you can just about guarantee that with all the work he put in to make the NFL that he will do everything to prove and make certain the doctors and other teams are dead wrong on what he could and shouldn’t do.
