We don’t want that. Not only does that mean that Lazard, Watkins, and Cobb all would have gotten hurt, it is a unreasonable expectation to put on Christian. The Packers don’t need him to be WR1. Christian and Romeo will get their opportunities, but the Packers will be spreading the ball around. This offense is not dependent on rookies being superstars for it to be great. Lazard, Sammy, Cobbie, Romeo, Bobby Tonyan, Aaron Jones, and Dillon will all be parts of the passing game along with Christian and Romeo.
Christian has the speed to take the top off the defense. Christian will have the opportunity to be a much better deep threat than MVS was. If he achieves that this season, then his rookie season will be a major success.
