Jalen hurts love giving his daddy his credit✊🏾

    Dank Burrito

That’s awesome, however that point is more important than controlling inanimate objects. Most criminals, dropouts etc grew up without the father in their home. On his point about guns things do need to change, and that’s the culture.

Bonzology3

How do you not love Jalen hurts?

    Jose Gonzalez

@EAGLES FLY PROUD everyone hopes that. Not everyone agrees on how to prevent it. You don’t have to attack the second amendment to protect children at schools. The same people that refuse to have a police or armed security at a school threw up fences and more armed security the moment they felt threatened.

    EAGLES FLY PROUD

@Jose Gonzalez this is a very touchy subject for me. I didn’t hear Jalen attacking the second amendment. He was talking about the recent tragedies involving assault weapons. Simple solution NO CIVILIAN should be able to purchase one. If a law like this was already in effect all those innocent people (including my brother) would not have died in vain.

    Jose Gonzalez

@EAGLES FLY PROUD 80% of mass shootings are done with hand guns. You can’t define “assault weapon”. If you think no citizen should be able to own a semi auto rifle you have absolutely no clue why the second amendment was written. Hint: it has absolutely NOTHING to do with hunting

    Jose Gonzalez

@Bonzology3 and where in the second amendment does it say “you have the right to bear arms.. except for the ones we make in the future” I’ll wait 😂

    TJ.

I don’t think he being a role model for anyone, he just being himself, he’s not playing no type of role of a part in a play, this young man is reality real life

More reason to wish Jalen Hurts a fantastic, successful football career — he’s a terrific young man and deserves to have a platform for his positive views.

Alex

Some other Eagles mentioned the gun violence thing, but Jalen came out the gates with a long heartfelt opening statement. Was listening to a podcast with beat reporters and they were impressed with how well he recognizes the platform he has and utilizes it. That has always been Jalen though. Just a tremendous young man raised the right way by his parents. His dad coached him in HS and molded him into being a leader. His character has never been in question and is probably a big reason for why he was able to get the starting job at Bama as a true freshman. He’s improved slowly, but surely as a passer over his college and now brief NFL career. He still has a lot to prove this year to whether or not he can take the jump as a passer, but he’s been putting in the work all off-season with the same throwing coaches Wentz worked with prior to his 2017 season. You can see even in the limited clips we’ve got from OTAs that his mechanics look better. He has a quicker release and tighter delivery. Obviously it takes tons of repitition to make those changes permanent, but he’s working hard to do what he can to be the QB that fans want him to be. I’ll never understand fans that won’t even attempt to try and root for him. If he proves not to be the answer long term which is obviously still a big question mark, then so be it, but support your team and its QB who is doing things the right way unlike Wentz who didn’t want to take to hard coaching after Reich and DeFilippo left. He got cocky and thought he knew everything. Jalen is the exact opposite. He’s thick skinned and wants that hard coaching. I remember after Sirianni was yelling at him after a turnover as he went to the sideline he was asked about that moment in the post game presser and said that he embraces the tough coaching, cause that’s how his dad was with him back in HS when he was his coach. He’s far from perfect and might not be the QB you would prefer, but I think he was a great fit for a young first time HC looking to build a culture of competitiveness. His teammates love him. Kelce even said that Jalen was a big part of the reason he came back. He’s the driving force behind why we have AJ Brown right now. Like its just amazing to me that people still ride Wentz’s jock when dude quit on the team and asked out at the sign of adversity. Compare that to how Hurts stayed at Bama an extra year after he got benched the year before for Tua. Dude was nothing, but a great teammate to his younger back-up who took his spot. Wentz had his agent go to the media leaking that he wanted out right before Jalen Hurts first start against the Cardinals. Their character is just different. Just wait and see what 2022 has in store for Jalen before you fully write him off. I think he’s earned at least that much.

Alex I agree with everything you said man and I and as an eagle fan man I think this guy is special man all the intangibles he scores off the metrics his tangibles are getting better as you mentioned and I think because he is thick skin and he’s he play so big but look so it looks low man he’s very humble man and I think in the next 3 or 4 years you’re going to sit back and Philly fans in NFL fans are going to be like Jalen hurts is the top 10 quarterback facts man facts I like what you’re spitting Alex
