From what we’ve seen and heard in OTAs. Josh Ball is not good. Hasn’t had much time on the field but there is a reason we drafted Waletzko. He’s been moving up the depth chart and could be ready to take over soon. Tyler seems more than capable of playing 2 positions.

@Danny Savage Well you’re wrong lmao. You assume i haven’t played ball based on me saying Smith is capable of playing both guard and tackle? Crazy. We’ve had lineman who’ve played multiple positions before and have been fine. Zack Martin, Lael Collins, Looney, Travis Frederick, etc. Tyler Smith is a very smart player. Sure there is some technique difference when it comes to foot work but as it pertains to run blocking, most of it is the same once you know the basics. Pass blocking is where the problems may lie.

So very happy we are addressing both lines more often and the big, physical nasty attitude guys who play til the whistle…..I hate it took the playoff loss to do it but atleast we are now….from listening to him and seeing what I have gotten to…..I’m perfectly fine with the moves we have made this off season
