Am I the only one who gets extremely annoyed when the Cleveland media asks new Browns or Cavs or Indians players whether or not they have spoken to whichever ex-great played on the same team before these guys were drafted/signed? Like WHY would this kid have EVER talked to Phil Dawson prior to him being drafted here? He probably didn’t even know who Phil Dawson WAS before a reporter mentioned that name to him. Mary Kay LITERALLY asked this kid if he had talked to Phil ON THE DAY HE WAS DRAFTED!!! It’s so damn weird. It’s like everyone in the Cleveland media expects these kids to know the history of the Cleveland Browns and every player who ever played here and was actually good as if they’ve been lifelong Cleveland Browns fans or something. It drives me insane.
