“According to ESPN’s Dianna Russini, Brown requested a change of scenery, and was asking the Titans for guaranteed money close to $80 million. This figure was also reported by ESPN’s Turron Davenport, and SI’s John Glennon. Brown’s new four-year, $100 million deal with Philly came with $57 million guaranteed.
While Brown claimed the Titans’ offer was $16 million per year that could reach $20 million per year with incentives, Russini reports that the Titans’ offer was more than that, but that her source wouldn’t share the actual numbers. Brown said he would have re-signed with the Titans for $22 million per year, but Glennon reports that Brown was asking for even more than the $25 million average he received from the Eagles.”
@King Henry and on top of that, this has been out there for 3 days now and the Titans haven’t refuted the claim. Vrabel was visibly pissed off immediately after the trade and emotional in the press conference, so I highly doubt the Titans came close to market value. Tyler Lockett, Chris Golladay and Christian Kirk all make more than 17 million a year, he’s better and more deserving than all.
@Brian Gallagher because Tennessee doesn’t discuss contract negotiations publicly, and they never have. The Titans offered him a good contract, but AJ didn’t want to stay in Tennessee is the point I’m trying to make. And of course Vrabel was upset, the whole Titans FO and the fans were upset about losing AJ. It was a shock to all of us. Though reading the article I quoted above made me feel a lot better about losing AJ.
Though the silver lining is Titans had a great draft, and what made that possible was the AJ trade. We’re pretty excited about Burks and Malik especially.

@Christian Schilling That’s always the plan. I just want to first focus on getting back to the playoffs for what could be Kelce’s last rodeo. Don’t think we as a team are quite ready for SB aspirations, but then again no one would’ve figured in 2017 what we were in store for.

Fingers super crossed Hurts improves this season with his accuracy. Lord knows the skill positions are now perfect for him to succeed.
Stop that accuracy bullshit. Recievers were stopping their routes. How many touchdowns were called back and hiw many catches were dropped. You didn’t see that right? Those receivers wasn’t seperating either. Offensive line can’t pass block well but can run block. Jalen extended plays something Wentz couldn’t do.

It Def wasn’t all Jalen fault all the time I just know what my eyes seen and that was when the pressure was on Hurts became inaccurate at times. And Wentz is trash so Idk where that came from I didn’t say nothing about him. Point is every player in the league has things they could improve at and Hurts was not accurate at times especially when his first guy was covered. It’d be nice if he improved on his weakness this offseason and now he has a full compliment of skill players so back to my original point fingers crossed he takes a step forward this year with arm Strength and accuracy.

There is no bigger Eagles fan on this earth than I am, and to have someone that I personally know, makes this acquisition all the more better.
His family and mine’s have very close ties here in Starkville, MS. Me and his father used to coach our daughter’s softball and basketball teams when they were younger; A.J. was a baby at the time.
I am so proud of him; watching him grow as a young boy to a mature young man.
