I watched Jackson State on ESPN networks multiple times this year. The kid can ball, but I agree the Lions are very bogus for showing these highlights.
I can easily see him as a Gadget guy on the Defensive side of the ball. If I’m not mistaken he played LB as well

@J Wil no it’s not. the Lions do a 1 minute promo of every draft pick shortly after the pick. Other picks come from schools who provide videos to a service NFL teams subscribe to. The Lions cannot bootleg YouTube clips like you and I. Copyrights belong to Jackson State and the SWAC. So the Lions have to go through proper channels, which they did, and Jackson State did not reply in a timely fashion. If Jackson State believes in its players they should either (1) authorize their clips to the service NFL clubs use, or (2) have someone on the ready THREE DAYS out of the year to authorize clips. You want your clips to be used, make it easy for NFL teams to use them. It’s not hard, and Jackson State and the SWAC should have more faith that its players will get drafted. BTW, Houston authorized the promo vid without waiting on the Jackson State clips. After all, the clip is about promoting HIM not Jackson State. What Deion has done is take the attention away from the player, and made it about Deion and the program. Real great leadership there..

@Monty Woodgrain stupid post.Houston is very proud he went to JSU. He played exceptionally well, and JSU helped him get to the NFL. The Lions GM, who also went to an HBCU, is proud that they got to draft Houston. Houston is living a dream for many of us. He isn’t embarrassed about JSU, nor should he be. This is about why the Lions didn’t have JSU clips available to them.
@Fingers Micke Thank you. Also, I just checked with someone on JSU’s media team and was informed that Houston’s JSU clips are readily available. I don’t know if there is a miscommunication somewhere, but JSU is asserting that Houston’s JSU clips are available. Thanks, again.
@Monty Woodgrain what motivated you to say something like that? I’m from Jackson, MS. JSU is one of the top HBCUs in the country. This is a huge milestone for not only Jackson State but all HBCUs. You forget that one of the greatest running backs in NFL history, Walter Payton, came from Jackson State. Coach Prime is giving HBCUs a bigger platform and more exposure and was able to do what no HBCU has done and sign the #1 player in the country in Travis Hunter who is definitely going to be a first round pick when he is eligible for the draft. So really look at the facts and think before you say something like that.
@Monty Woodgrain If he’s so embarrassed, why were his mother and father wearing the JSU “IBELIEVE” motto on their shirts? If he’s so embarrassed, why did he proudly tell the media at the Lions’ presser that he received his nickname, “The Problem,” from JSU and that he loves his nickname? It seems that you are projecting your self-hatred onto other folks. And, finally, if you love Florida and yourself so much, why are you going to every site to denounce Houston and JSU? Don’t you have something better to do with your time other than disparaging the name of a man and an institution?
