LOTS of people had Quay Walker being the first lb off the board at least for Georgia. LB from Utah woulda beeen nice too, but Georgia Defense players have a tendency to pan out well.

What makes Brian in and my opinion a cut above Ted Thompson is the fact that he doesn’t put a square peg into a round hole he’s actually drafting people that fit the system It seemed like Ted didn’t talk to people and he did what he wanted to do We actually now have a talented defensive line rotation
Watson’s highlight reel reminds me a lot of Tyreek Hill. He’s got crazy fast legs and has no trouble dropping that shoulder and really get physical when it’s necessary…

@Aaron Woods I say similar to Jefferson in other ways since Jefferson was a no star coming out of high school. Watson was a 2 star but he can be a superstar in the NFL

I Love It! I Love It! I Love It! I wanted us to grab this dude. I just wish we somehow could’ve swamped and gained Minnesota’s 3rd round pick at 66 for our two second rounders instead of losing an extra pick in the top 100.

I was upset with the first rounders for a little bit, but now that we traded up and got Watson, who is practically a 1st round Wr at pick 34, I excited to watch these players
Time will tell, he has the potential to be the best receiver in this draft with his size and speed. We won’t know until he plays.
Watson has the potential to be the best receiver in this draft. Watching the film on him he completely dominated whoever he was up against. Size and speed are there, just a matter of him adjusting to the NFL. Time will tell as with all rookies, could be a bust, could be an all pro for years.

Anyone know what the best all time hit rates are for GMs picking in the 1st round? Cuz Gutey is hitting on a minimum 60% of all 1st round picks up to this point with a realistic potential for that % to go higher. That’s crazy to me to see that over a few years and not just one draft

Just watch Watson’s highlights at ND State! Amazing grab at 1:35 reaching back for catch, breakaway speed on jet sweeps and yards after catch. Stole the show in Senior Bowl and had the best NFL Combine. Check out all the Randy Moss comparisons!
They still need to address the depth at O-Line. Hope they keep adding guys there
All you heard in this draft was Williams, Olave, London ,Wilson, Etc. I really do feel like people are sleeping on this guy. Fast, Tall, and Great hands. I’m sure he’ll prove himself in the NFL! Just watch
Over the last 2 and a half years I have noticed major growth in Gute and the way he goes about all aspects of being a GM. This is a man I respect. IN GUTE WE TRUST.
He kinda reminds me of Randy Moss based on size and speed. Time will tell if he can be just as productive as Moss, but I am excited for his potential, especially with Rodgers throwing him the ball.
