It is because it was the first look in the regime. You could totally feel the excitement on that pick. Now it is more like we gotta win football games.
I was about as shocked as anyone when the trade happened and they selected Jameson. I thought the trade up was for someone else, I didn’t even know we wanted a WR. I had no information on this kid, but I’m absolutely blown away that we got him after seeing what he did in college. If you haven’t seen some of his highlights, Jameson is unbelievably fast. He gives me Tyreke Hill vibes. And we might have our #1 WR of the future.

@Bryce Lynds I’m in the anti Willis camp even though I agree he has the highest ceiling in the draft. I just don’t want to commit ourselves to a project QB since I know how stacked the 2023 QB class is going to be. Trust me man, if Willis came out next year he would probably fall further than he has in this draft

Gotta strong feeling there’s gonna be another trade up lions have there eye on a couple of other players ..might as well get three impact players at least out of your 8 picks than be trading down and hope to get at least three out of the 8 players ..detroit needs to have at least 3 sure fire impact players they don’t have the time to be hoping anymore ..
No one had this mock happening. Our timeline looking crazy good right now, by next year we should be firing on all cylinders and have the surrounding depth and talent to draft our future QB. In just 2 drafts this front office has done a good job mitigating the complete disaster that was Quinntricia. Building through the draft and hitting on picks late and not missing in the first round, this is drafting 101 and I’m confident we got the right guy leading the way. Also moving up from 32 to 12 and picking this man right when they did showed me that Brad not only understands draft capitol, but he has a feel for how this whole thing works
I did, actually. I had the Lions picking Hutch at #2 then trading up with the Vikes to get Jameson. I’ll let you know my round 2 mock late tonight
Man it don’t take much to fool lions fans do it. This team is hot garbage and this draft is one of the worst the league has seen in many years. The lions are on there way to winning 4 football games if they are lucky next year. But there in the right direction to you. LOL

When I saw they traded up to #12 I was for sure thinking they were going to pick Jordan Davis, but I’m really happy about picking up Williams after looking at his highlights in Bama. Someone mentioned he’ll be 100% by July. Lions will have a really strong group of receivers. Also, I’m glad they didn’t fall for the hype behind Malik Willis.
