Warrior J93

I thought Salisu was fantastic
I think Southampton back 4 was amazing today imo

    citysouljaalex

@J J i was referring to the ref not the keeper. what was the point of all the var checks if it was just going to be a time waste

    citysouljaalex

bro what we dominated arsenal second half. they lost there minds and we had more possession. we won because we attacked. parking the bus is being happy with a draw in which we attacked until we scored again. you are deluded asf bro💀

    frank dylong

    fantastic is an understatement
    did you see his stats?

    OwenCOA

    @citysouljaalex cry

MarS

surprised Southampton made it this tough for them

    Angel Solis

It would’ve been 3/4-1 if it wasn’t for all the bad luck with the post

    mrrandomfilmz

    @Ben lol so?

    Phoenix

@Manc Rayda why you want livarpool to wi.

    Ben

@mrrandomfilmz do I have to spell it out for you? Not many expected even a draw against a strong man city team. It ain’t like teams are afraid of Southampton either. If Chelsea couldn’t beat man city, I doubt ppl thought Southampton was going to draw. If you had to bet money on this game… I doubt you put south Hampton to win/draw against man city.

    Gabriel Mena

@Manc Rayda they don’t have results like this often

jlmarc01

Well managed Southampton team

Khoa Huynh

As a Chealsea fan, congratulations for Southhampton, you guys have done something Chelsea couldn’t

    chance2413

We beat them in CL final. Just because they’ve beat us twi9ce this year in the Prem, we won the one that really counts. Would you trade that trophy for 10 straight wins vs City in the Prem?

    chance2413

@William Last year, it wasn’t even a year ago. You mean last season?

    chance2413

@Etempt You would trade beating us (Chelsea) once in the CL final for TEN wins straight against us in the Prem. As a Chelsea fan, I could care less about not winning those games vs City. The Prem is a marathon, and City have the best depth in the world. The Champions League Final is the Super Bowl , your best vs our best, and all the depth in the world can’t help you. just because City’s second team is so good they win the Prem year after year because everyones rested, doesn’t mean their first team can win the big ones when it’s one game to win it all

    Etempt

@chance2413 why are you putting words in my mouth I never said I would trade this premier league win for the champions league final, I’m just saying just because you lost doesn’t mean you can act like that game didn’t matter. Don’t know why you Chelsea fans feel the need to bring up the champions league whenever city beat you it’s not relevant. And its crazy how at the start of the season Chelsea fans kept bragging about how the have the deepest squad depth now because your team is playing like this you have to come up with excuses like the one your making. Like I said delusional Chelsea fans 🤦‍♂️ 😂

GOAT

Kevin De Bruyne is special

    Azam Tn

    important only against chelsea always

    Milk _

@Azam Tn he had great chances this game that easily coulda gone in, just lucky/unlucky it happened against Chelsea depending on ur viewpoint

    Dust4Vomit

    Amazing player

Darian Dalili

Walker-Peters goal was the best type of full back goal.

    kyle jackson

    Spurs need him back

    Erik C

    @kyle jackson one game relax

    kyle jackson

@Erik C you watch footy? SH have been playing well especially because of Kwp

Jay Hains

Man of the match: Southampton goal post

    Isai Aparicio

    And of course, Forster

CARLIN PLAYS

laporte wanted a hug but nobody did 😂

    ane kopp

because they wanted to win the match and not waste time

    CARLIN PLAYS

@ane kopp true it is a waste a time everyone should do that unless they’re winning by 2 or more

    Aaron D

@CARLIN PLAYS Yeah but as a defender you can’t blame him. Also you’d want to celebrate as long as your 1 up because it makes the other team have less time to score.

M C

La Porte’s celebration was a fresh breath of air!

    the b biddim

What was so special about it? Did I miss something?

    Aaron D

    @Chap 567 Lol it’s the same one

    M C

@the b biddim low key arm dance, i.e., he was popping

    ZoogaZig

@Samuel Gonzalez-Tovar he turned around to welcome his teammates and no one came, they left him hanging lol

    V Santos

@ZoogaZig haha I saw that too. My man celebrating out there all by himself lol

Tru Gambit

Sterling once again missing sitters. I don’t know a single player with the amount of misses he has by the 6yard box

    Go D. Usopp

I swear the people that don’t watch football love to talk the most. Sterling was literally England’s best player at the Euros, won prem player of the month just last month, and haso been world class for us. As for Grealish, he’ll come good, I trust Pep 100%

    Tru Gambit

@Go D. Usopp world class? You don’t know football. Best player for England in the euros isn’t saying much. They crashed out

    Matthew Morrison

I think could do much better if he was giving the passes not making the strikes

    rofj09

I used to vouch for him but he’s so iffy these days. At this point he can ask for a transfer and go because Pep has had enough

    Oliver Marcus

@Jacksonn Doll Any new player struggles to find his rhythm when they join City. He’ll prove his value next year, plus, the expectations were very high and everyone thought that he’d score every time he starts

Jake Statefarm

Amazing game but ref was really on something a lot of questionable calls

    Go D. Usopp

    Ref was a Pool fan

    Jackson Kelley

first time all year saints haven’t been boned over by a poor reffing decision. city are still winning the league and have plenty of money to spend so no one’s losing any sleep over them getting the short end this go around

    Go D. Usopp

    @Jackson Kelley true tbf

    Eric TheRed

Man city has gotten enough soft penalties about time they play by the same rules.

    Kyle McGarry

What about the foul on Laporte how is that not red lol

sonandtwins

The Saints gave LFC and Chelsea a glimpse of a Godly chance to catch up with MC.

James Gotwalt

I dislike man city a lot but some of those calls idk about

양태성

Nearly 2-0 before the half… well done Southhampton on holding the leaders back

beckham9018

This is a type of game in which a natural number 9 was needed. Props to S.H. lets go city!!

    Bartek Potok

    Get Broja

Oluremi Abayomi

That disallowed Broja goal has me wondering “How does Chelsea decide who to let go on loan and who stays to play?” Yes, I am a Chelsea fan. Broja has the poise of a true centre forward and he didn’t make the cut at Chelsea? How? I could make the same argument for Tariq Lamptey, Connor Gallagher, etc. Heck, even Tomori!!!

    Aaron D

How do they decide? They decide on who they think is good enough to make the squad and who isn’t. Now you can definitely question their judgement or their patience for sure. De Bruyne and Salah both came through Chelsea. But that’s how they decide.

    Oluremi Abayomi

@Aaron D It’s at least a tad bit concerning, considering the quality of players I’ve seen them let go to play for another team. Good grief!!!

Max Cho

Stoked for Kyle Walker-Peters !!!

Azazel

12:00 he knew what he was doing thinking “that’s a red that I missed”

Mr Pickles

One of City’s best performances of the season…. by far!

Mazdak Mina

I’ve been saying for a while that Man City overcommits to one side for how high up they play and that more cross-field switches need to be played by whoever plays them!

You can see it especially at 3:27 (freeze it at that moment)! If he switches it cross field behind the back line instead of playing it up the near flank, that’s not only onside, but there’s *far* more space behind the back line in that area!

Either way, Man City have been leaving that open all season, and I’m amazed more teams don’t try to punish them for it (even Southampton punished them *far too little* for it in this game)!
