Week 13 preview: New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills | Chris Simms Unbuttoned | NBC Sports

BuffaloRocks!

I actually feel much better as a Bills fan with these two weirdos choosing the pats

    Don O

@Thor Oakenshield Hey Cartoon Charactor “Back at Ya”

    Thor Oakenshield

@Don O Hey Hawaii Five-0, back at ya. FYI, Thor is my given first name.

    Don O

@Thor Oakenshield My sympathy’s for being a Bills Fan. Hard all those times coming so close to winning a Super Bowl and watching any team they played getting the ring.

    mohamed kallon

    @BuffaloRocks! it’s gonna be a good game

    Riczon

@Don O Facts, there D Line is tiny for sure there about to get pushed outta the way especially with Trent Brown in the mix.

Charismatic Weirdo

Diggs ate JC Jackson alive last year 😴

    Speedyreedy1218

Pats fan here. We know. And this is pay day year for JCJ, so he may show out.

    BuffaloConfidential

Lattimore has a few things to teach Jackson after getting torched by Diggs on Thanksgiving.

    jd 22

@Speedyreedy1218 it’s way more about the Bill’s oline. If josh doesnt get hit no one can cover diggs. Go look at diggs big games, josh is clean in the pocket or making plays on rollout. If Josh is able to do that you can double diggs all day and he can score 3 tds that’s exactly what happened last year. So really not about jcj at all he cant cover diggs.

Rick Evans

I love the Pats and I know they are looking unstoppable right now. But I have a bad feeling about this game…

    Bento

Me too, I hope we’re wrong

    Daniel Ventura

Bro as a bills fan we are too one sided to me. We can’t really run and we have trouble stopping power run teams

    CITY OF THE CHAMPS

it should be a good feeling lol. your listening to the hype too much. bruh we are balanced asf on top of that tredavius white is out for the season? naah we should not lose any of these games against them

    Alan T

@CITY OF THE CHAMPS what hype? The only hype is for the Pats.

    mohamed kallon

    @Alan T that’s what he meant

Evan Gordon

Kyle dugger is a covid scratch this week for pats. He makes a massive impact as a safety/linebacker hybrid. Him being out could be the equalizer.

    Speedyreedy1218

Who said he was out? If he’s vacinated, and has a negative test, he could be back.

    jay 1988

    That hasn’t been confirmed yet

Joseph Lippens

The pats avg 115 yards rushing per game…the Bills 118…the Patriots are not a dominant rushing team like Tenn (with Henry) or Indy. It’s just not true

    Joseph Lippens

@erik puka they are a ball control team..that is a much more accurate description.

    Sir puss

    @Joseph Lippens

You aren’t winning. Somethings never change. Patriots number 1 in rushing and defense. Bye Billy Boy Bob

    Joseph Lippens

@Sir puss How are they #1 in rushing? They avg 4.1yds per carry and 115 yards per game….they are barely middle of the pack. The defense is outstanding no doubt, but let’s not tell lies about this rushing game.

Mike Z

I’m just really upset with how inconsistent the Bills have been. I want to know why their offensive line has fallen apart and why were struggling. Does anyone think it’s because we’re now the hunted and not the underdogs ?

    Benjamin Mckay

Every game that Spencer Brown hasn’t played the line has been bad. The form of the line shouldn’t hinge upon a single rookie.

Williams has been disappointing after such a strong previous year, Feliciano hasn’t been as good (although still an upgrade over Ford/Boettger), It’s hard to blame Dawkins due to the unfortunate circumstances but he hasn’t been good either. Morse has been the only one that’s been consistently solid and healthy, everyone else has regressed.

    peter wilson

@Benjamin Mckay they’ve been fine in both when Brown is in the lineup at RT and Williams moves to RG. And Feliciano is coming back the next few weeks. They’ll be fine.

    Nic Spaeth

@Benjamin Mckay my thoughts exactly, if Morse didn’t restructure and stay they’d be screwed. Tough the Bills rely on a 3rd round rookie to bring nastiness, him and Knox out main reason lost to Jags

    SONNY da CUSE

COVID and OL are the reason

    Atlas JT

Injuries caused a lot of the issues for the passing/running game. Compare games where Brown is playing to when he’s not and the difference is almost night and day

Connor C.

The hype for the pats is out of control. What respectable team have they beaten recently?

    Marco Garcia

Who have the bills beat besides the chiefs 😂

    Staples Family

@Connor C. Its not the fact that they have won 6 straight its the fact that they have been steam rolling over teams. Jets 54-7, than beat the Chargers, than beat the Panthers 24-6 than beat the Browns 45-7, than beat the Falcons 25-0 on a short week, than beat the Titans 36-13 lol. They have all beat routes and the Patriots have the best point differential in the whole NFL. The Titans were missing Henry yes but the Titans still rushed for almost 300 yards lol so proves that its the Tennesees Oline that is their strength who were healthy. And yet Pats still won 36-13 lol

    Connor C.

    @Marco Garcia nobody

    L T

AND the same can be said about the BIlls! Just look at who they beat also. Give me the better RUN team in this windy weather, which is the Pats +3

Paul Vierra

Chris Simms is the Man!!!

Tidera

We have our Oline back and Star. Lol but keep that same energy.

    George Castillo

    🚨

Sam W

Mac first time playing under 32 degrees. Cold night game for southern QB not good. His best quality is accurate passing. Will see how he does with cold balls. Bills win 24-13.

    Don O

Sam you guys in Buffalo know about Kold Balls. LOL

    Gary Petty

@Justin Sones Sure they do especially over the duration of the game wink wink!!!

Giorgio Gazzola

I’m a Bills fan yet I can’t quite understand how the Patriots are the underdog.

    Alee Hatami

Because it’s @bills. If it was at Foxborough Patriots would be favored.

    Joseph Ziehm

@Alee Hatami I’m saying the Patriots win and McFloormatt will get dominated again. He’s a system coach and a lot like a system Quarterback. He’s been figured out and teams have played on that. I’d rather have Doug Pederson if we miss the playoffs who can scheme and change plans on the fly.

    Pete

I think people just think Pats are due for a loss

Kenneth Chonillo

Wow Chris Simms, sell out. The Bills get Star, Spencer Brown, Feliciano back. Pats can run the ball but they don’t have Derrick Henry or John Taylor come on. 31-20 Bills

    Staples Family

Patriots haven’t just won 6 straight but they have been steam rolling everybody they play lol , 45-7 over the Browns, 36-13 over Tennesee, 25-0 over Atlanta, 54-7 over the Jets,24-6 over the Panthers. They also beat the Chargers during this winning streak. The Patriots have by far the best point differential in the whole NFL. Rhamondre Stevenson is a top 3 runningback in the NFL, Patriots just dont run him as much as they should because Damien Harris is Macs buddy. But when Stevenson does run hes a powerhouse,he has great moves and hes also a beast at catching passes. The only advantage Buffalo has is its in their stadium and they have had 11 days to prep for NE while NE has only had 8. That said I wouldn’t be surprised if Judon has 3 sacks and JC Jackson has a couple of interceptions and the game gets out of hand.

Kenneth Chonillo

Wow Chris Simms, sell out. The Bills get Star, Spencer Brown, Feliciano back. Pats can run the ball but they don’t have Derrick Henry or John Taylor come on. 31-20 Bills

    Justin Ballew

Flip it and you might be correct.

David Nelson

This Vikings fans always pulls for Boy Blue. But . . . This is a really tough ask. Can the Bills stop the powerful Pats run game?

Leo Derosia

Should be a real dogfight, patriot fan

jd 22

Stevenson and Harris are not Taylor and Henry. Also we didnt have our 2 best run stoppers against the colts and Henry had 1 big run that had 2-3 uncalled penalties in it. Otherwise we have stopped the run all year. I get what Chris is saying but it’s a lazy narrative. The patriots might be able to run but they also might not and then a rookie has to throw it to average to below average receivers in poor weather against the best secondary in football. Good luck if the Bill’s go up 10 or 14 early. If the game stays close the patriots have a good shot at it but I wouldnt just chalk up a big night for the RBs yet until we see star and the predator out there. PS matt milano is the best open field tackler in the nfl change my mind.

Edit: jc jackson did amazing against diggs last time. Stop saying anyone can cover diggs, they cant. If josh gets protected diggs gets open plain and simple no corner in the league can cover diggs if josh has the time.

    Joseph Ziehm

@Conner McCloud You know all about the powder out of Lowell right Conner?

    Chris

Josh Allen is an over rated QB. Mac is having a better season than him. And no Tre White is a huge blow to the Bills defense. I got Pats 31-20

    Joseph Ziehm

@Chris by that token we can say that Allen is struggling due to Coaching. With that stated a loss determines what I’ve said all along we should’ve hired Reich or in the year coming after this loss crippling the teams confidence we should fire McFloormatt and move onto Doug Pederson. As a Bills fan the media mirage network protected Soft Serve Sean on statements and after losses there’s quite a few to go on.
1.) Out Coached against Pittsburgh (Didn’t prepare his team.)
2.) Didn’t prepare players knowing he’d be benching AJ Epenesa
3.) Didn’t motivate his squad against the Jags (one team came to play)
4-5.) Against Indy didn’t practice basic Coaching fundamentals of time management and of course against a turn over Colts team didn’t Coach ball protection.
Literally, everything McDoormatt has said would’ve had media channels otherwise tearing him a new one. That mirage is starting to lift though and only a couple of public relations moderators on independent forums are trying to defend him to the bloody end. I remember when Coughlin had to come to town and straighten out the Pegula’s for as competition committtee member of the NFL when they refused to make changes.

    Conner McCloud

@Joseph Ziehm your just a cry baby who thought that your Bill’s would be the best for the next 10 yrs but you guys only getting 1 yr and you blown it even if Bill’s win tonight you still got 1 more at our place n you still have a game with the bucs n tb12

    jd 22

@Chris how is mac having a better season? Less TDs, Less yards, 1 more win, less wins in division. One guys been to the AFC championship and won playoff games and the other guy is a rookie.

Dennis Strimple

Hey, you guys both picked the Chiefs against Bills. 😜

    Don O

Yea and I also picked the Bills to beat the lowly Jags.

    Riczon

@Don O Lol, they thought they were going to drop 60 on the Jags but only ended up scoring 6 🤣

Nathan Wagner

The only game where Buffalo’s run D was horrible was Indianapolis, where our two most important run stoppers, Star and Edmonds, were out. In the Titans game, playing against one of the best RBs ever to play, they held the running game to a 3.5 yds/carry outside of the one big 76 yard run.

    Jack Donnell

i agree, that 75 yard run by henry skews the numbers so far the wrong way

    Justin Ballew

    And lost.

    Phenomenal Bills

    You are spot on.

    R.J. Melville

And that 75 yard Henry run had 3 of the worst holds you can imagine all on the one play.

    Joseph Ziehm

I don’t agree the Colts Sean admitted personally to not coaching good fundamentals, clock management, and then admitted that he didn’t prepare his team against a turn over hungry Colt’s team. He’s on cruise control and auto-pilot. Soft Serve Sean was in over his head against Reich and pretty much never stood a chance. He’s to soft, woefully inept at changing his game plans, and cannot adjust beyond his own analytics and systems. He relies to heavily on being a systems coach and not heavily enough on his own talent. We only go so far as his assistant Coaches can take us.

Timothy Phoenix

How can you not talk about the bills Patriots Monday night game without staring at your notes, talking shaking, the entire time. This is so painful to watch 😂

    Don O

It’s really easy and enjoyable watching the best coached team dismember the Bills

easyscore

Bills can’t get to the QB, Pats 27-17
