    You must not look at stats, CMC rushed for 95, and I think caught for 76, still great stats, but it wasn’t 100 and a 100. He was back when they played the Patriots and got 121 total yards and they lost horribly. I agree without CMC the Panthers have no chance. What you don’t see is that with Cam Newton back there it makes CMC even more dangerous. Other teams cannot just key in on CMC anymore or they may get a good look at Cam’s running ability. I saw it one play in particular where Cam faked to CMC half the Cards followed CMC and Cam got a pretty easy 1st down. Cam’s eye candy as you called it was 2 TD’s one passing and one rushing was more than just eye candy. The Panthers have suffered at the goal line all year. Putting someone in there that can get the job done was a beautiful thing. BTW Darnold ran the same rushing route as Cam a few weeks back. He got pancaked.

The Panthers could have drafted Justin Fields or Mac Jones in the 2021 Draft. But they passed them up with a win-now mentality and went with Sam Darnold.

I’m happy that Cam is back with the Panthers and it is exciting for the time being——–but the Panthers should have drafted one of those two QB’s.
