For those who still don’t understand how good this signing is, let’s put it like this: many of the teams to recently win superbowls had more than just one good RB. Melvin can run, score, and receive. He’ll be an awesome RB2 for us to have. 👍
@BudgetJohnWick being a running back and having a long career is essential as it comes. RB/FB/HB take a lot of punishment on the knees, he needs a better line to block and create lanes for him to run. Now they know he’s good that’s why they brought him back. Best back we’ve had in years.
@CT3 The Rapbully now they know he will put in the effort lol looking at his stats last five seasons he’s only had one bad year and it was before he got to the broncos. But like I said I definitely didn’t complain about him last year and just like all the broncos hope they perform to their full potential next year. But yeah I agree our line has been our weakest link for so long now, but for sure russ will help work around them, it should seem like less a problem this year.

I like melvins game but he truly is a liability in clutch situations. 🤣 it’s like he has oil on his hands when you need him most
I dont care whos rb 1 or 2, the shelf life of RBs is so low and undervalued that I honestly want a 50/50 split I want Williams to be a great RB for 10+ years and having 2 great RBs that have as little drop off possible when either is on the field in a win win win
I don’t see why so much hate on Mel, despite the fumbles( but let’s be honest you can’t always win all of them), 900+ yards man, for a guy who’s 29, I mean look at the numbers man, they don’t lie! I’m excited for this guy, and I’m glad he’s back!! When I saw that the Broncos re-signed him, man I jumped! Let’s go baby!! Let’s ride, like Russ likes to say🔥 🟠🔵

@Jordan Anderson Ok, metaphorically speaking, if those fumbles wouldn’t of happened we would’ve been 10-7, 9-8 and not 7-10 and that would’ve probably been enough to keep the teams’ coaches, keep bridgewater(don’t get me wrong, he went through good and bad times with the team, which takes charisma and passion and a little bit of money), etc. keep everything the same because it was a more wins than losses season, which I know everyone in the broncos fan base is tired of losing 😪 which means, no Russ😥 because it would’ve come down to “We went positive, we just need to clean up and get it right the next time”
But hey, new season! You can only get better if you allow yourself!
I think last season is what also helped facilitate things for Paton to change directions with the team. In my opinion…
Everyone says “javonte has 900+ while splitting snaps” well guess what, same thing with Melvin, he had 900+ yards while splitting snaps. I love them both. But we low key been haven’t been putting respect on Melvin’s name

Melvin is great! Yeah he fumbles, and he gas the DUI, but other than that he has been solid. This is a good fit for him.

Been a Badger and Broncos fan my whole life. So excited to get to watch these to together again.
I don’t see the big deal with RB one or two. You always need more than one at every position minus kicker. They had the same amount of touches last year and both performed. If it works don’t try to fix it! Let’s Ride!
Melvin is a specimen. Have you ever seen him without a shirt on? Dude is a tank! He will keep Williams fresh as lettuce for our future success down the road
I wasn’t happy when we first signed him because of the price of the contract. But for this price. Hell Yeah!!!

MG is a still a stud running back but they will favor Williams this year to see all he can be or at least they better. Someone will get hurt eventually and it will be so good to have another big guy back there to carry the load. I would like to see what MIke Boone can bring but we may have to wait for the injury bug to hit to see him and I am not wishing that on anyone. I will bet that Russell has blessed this resigning since they played together and know each other.
