All AB had to do was contact the trainers to disclose his ankle was preventing him from continuing the game just like what RoJo did in this exact game before AB’s meltdown and every player has done for the last 40 years. Nope instead he sits by himself at the DBs section of the bench while staring blankly on the field away from the coaching staff. Now claims that a 60+ year old man who has Achilles, rotator cuff, and back problems made a throat slashing gesture and “forced” him out the game, “like a wild animal.”
Also conveniently left out the argument he had with Brady and the offense at halftime where he cried about a lack of targets and pointing towards Gronk taking all the targets.

Of the coach ask you to go into the game and you tell him no. Then you will be suspended or released! AB is a walking time bomb! He is also self destructive!
Nothing justify AB causing a scene by removing his uniform on the field running to the locker room shirtless waving to the fans doing jumping jacks smh

AB has had problems about wanting the ball for years. I don’t understand how people are taking his side. I also don’t understand how his ankle was the problem when he jogged off the field. Arians did the right thing by releasing him.
Sad part is he has the highest % of targets of all WRs this year 🤷♀️

What was the real problem? Ankle or lack of targets in the game? Can’t have both ways. If you want to be targeted then have to play; if you r hurt then can’t be targeted.

Bruce Arians is a straight up person. You can see by his career he will not BS. Watch the way he answers questions from the media. Then watch a politician when they lie. That is why BA is respected by his players and peers.

@RSOE No I dont believe either of them . Its somewhere in the middle and probably closer to Ariana’s story. However he didn’t handle that right and he knows it. Should of just let AB sit and dealt with it after the game . You don’t know how someone is gonna react to being fired,even if its warranted. Let alone in front of 60,000 people. Also Arians knew about the ankle. Now I’m not saying the ankle was the cause of AB’s refusal to go back in,but Arians knew AB had an issue with it and he said in interviews that he didn’t. So there you have it.
He lied when he said he wasn’t notified. Ab showed text recently telling him about his ankle injury before the game. Smh

Appreciate that Arians, Brady , & the Bucs organization have kept this professional and haven’t gotten down in the dirt with AB. His challenges/issues finally caught-up with the Bucs too. His life history is about actions of someone who at best, makes poor decisions, and at worst, is self and other destructive. These patterns cut across multiple lines — family, legal, professional, business, etc. — they are there, regardless of who he’s interacting with. LFG Bucs — continue to focus on the schedule ahead and don’t get dragged down by this!!
Love the Bucs and the team but quit acting like BA was innocent during all this.
This whole press conference reeks of a narritive and still suspect of BA. Dude’s got an ego, too.

@frank white I think it was more so, he had the ankle worked on and told BA that he was good to go – he knew about the ankle but didnt know that hed apparently aggravated it in the game.. as BA said, he didnt tell the trainers about it or anything so he didnt know it was a problem (if it was the problem)
I wish all press conferences were like this one. Straight to the point with clear and to the point questions and answers. I hate the typical “can you talk about the way you blah, blah, blah” question.
“Did you do the choke sign coach?” “No, unless you think this is a choke sign”, end of story.
Reports say AB was upset about not being targeted. Next we hear he refuses to play ?🤷♂ How can you get more targets if you dont get in the game?

At this point you have to believe Arians story. Arians statement implies that a full locker room of players can testify that AB was screaming for the ball at half-time. If Arians was lying just ONE player is needed to call him out. Arians would not put himself in that position. AB’s ankle injury was conveniently used to shape the narrative in his favour. AB had a childish tantrum plain and simple.

Antonio is a talented football player and it showed the week before against Carolina. As TB showed his support at the beginning of the season by standing by him and saying that we should show AB compassion, I send AB my support to mend both physically and mentally. I am saddened by his departure. I really appreciate Mike Evan’s attempt to help AB on the sidelines. Mike’s unselfish examples both on and off the field are admirable. Coach BA has a lot of personalities to deal with and he does a phenomenal job! Go Bucs! Thanks for creating a winning football program!

I will forever be grateful to Tom and Bruce for giving AB this last shot he needed in the league. Whatever AB decides , I hope he gives it long thoughts and prayers in order to make the best decisions moving forward . All this time i’ve been rooting for AB. Now it’s his turn to show us the reason why he still needs a spot on the field. Prayers up fuh AB!!!!
