Saw the same thing. Every single drive was Lenny rushing 1st down. And he started getting 1-2 yards max on all those. Drove me nuts too, glad I wasn’t the only one
Most predictable offense in the league when ahead… same on defense. They played prevent the entire half and wondered why they got scored on.

That’s good tho. It means that the team hasn’t peaked. U dont want to have them looking unstoppable and then run oyt of steam and lose their first playff game. The most important part rn is they are winning games and can still improve.
When OT hit and we went back to back third downs barely converting I was thinking how many gifts do we need to get. Lucky pass interference call on Evans for 1st. Fournette stopped right on the 1st down line, could have went either way too. Squandered that lead so bad. I know Tom is a playoff master but the defense needs to put a full game in real quick.

I think BA needs to be a bit harder on his defense who allows the opposition to continue to score. Brady has been clutch for BA and a huge reason he’s in the race for the SB. His offense has been playing extremely well. The defense has been failing miserably.

BA seems to have problem with Brady getting credit for anything. he’s been over critical of any Brady mistake since last year but always willing to give his defense excuses. any honest observer can see that their defense didn’t play well for 60 minutes. they played well first half but that’s not gonna be good enough in the playoffs.
@V H Yeah Bruce seems to have some weird issue with Brady whereas he should be eternally grateful to Brady.
BA does kind of annoy me sometimes with the things he says but I feel like there’s a method to his ways. I think rather than calling this defense out he likes to Pat them on the back and keep up their confidence. He knows Tom responds positively on the field with constructive criticism and always has. This is a guy that likes people to say he’s bad.. it motivates him.
@Don’t drink the Kool-Aid maybe he just expects more from Brady because of his GOAT status but he shouldn’t publically criticize him. With a normal player, that can demoralize or make them feel disrespected, but good thing Brady is not normal or insecure. Nothing phases him. He is relentless and self-motivating to be the best.
The first half was the best we’ve played all year on both sides of the ball. Brady was killing the blitz and they had great play calling. The second half they went back to running on first down and stopped using up tempo. In overtime they went back to what was working.

BA habitually seems to blame the offence over the defence. Brady didn’t set the world a light in the second half that’s very true, but they did hang season high yardage on the Bills, and 33 points, which is the second most Buffalo have conceded all season. 33 is objectively a decent tally. The defence allowed 27, 17 in the 3rd, that is not great. It seems like the offence is judged not by their best moments or even the game at large but rather their worst moments, whereas the defence has the privilege of being graded off the highlights. There have been several games where the defence has been poor, but they’ve had a late stop, or a late pick and it’s been heralded as a good performance by them. I’m not throwing the defence under the bus, I actually love the win, I think these type of wins do better for morale than a blowout. Especially given Bucs have had blowouts already this year. That being said, offence and defence are not graded evenly.
@Thomas Marzol The point isn’t one single game, it has been like this from BA all season. TB offense is leading the league in yards/game, passing/game and points/game.
@MovieIdiot imo TB has said to BA, that if anyone is to be criticised he is happy to be singled out and by extension, the Offence. TB invariable says ‘I goofed, I missed guys who were open etc’ He knows he gets talked about way too much in what is a team sport. But in return he shows his loyalty to his team by taking the majority of the blame. It takes heat off the defence which clearly has struggled through injuries.

One thing Im noticing is I feel like there aren’t anymore of those big huge throws the bucs had last season, (example: Scotty Miller TD vs Raiders) Is this just because we just dont have someone as fast as him, i’m noticing just a lot more shorter passes no more then 20 yards
Ya Brady’s missing the deep threats this year this season Brady had multiple deep touchdowns when they had AB at the start of the year but ever sense ABs been gone there hasn’t been as much
Teams are privately playing cover 2 which is extremely difficult to play long ball against

Teams changed how they play against Tampa starting around the Patriots game.
Screens, running game didn’t work for the Bucs, they need better play design. What happened to Gio Bernard, Scotty Meyers, OJ Howard? How can Cole Beasley always manage to never have anyone around him on third down? Why can’t they put containment on the QB? These guys won’t go far in the playoff, they are just relying on Tom Brady’s magic and their d-line, but JPP isn’t himself.
They botched the 2nd half, it’s true, but we’re forgeting here that Bills’ defense played great, and was desperate to win the game.
