Well deserved for Lenny FOURnette

Mary elizabeth

Congrats! Fantastic player! Go Bucs

Jeff Goodrich

As a guy who was really in rojos corner, I can see why he is starting over him by this presser. He’s locked in

    Randy Daigneau

I agree. What a great attitude he’s showing

    Jo el

    Completely agree

    Relayer6a

I think he doesn’t require to get into a rhythm as much as RoJo does. But if you want to bring the physical game to the opponent and pound them into submission RoJo is still the man for that. His time will come, IMO.

    Freddie

    Because he’s a better blocker n catcher

Paul Cowart

I like this idea of Lenny going strong and then RoJo spell him for a great 4th quarter Go Buc’s

Randy Daigneau

Love what I’m hearing from him. Selfless team first attitude. That’s where it’s at!

TrueEmpire89

The Bucs MVP for the week! Like Gronk Fournette has become Brady’s go to player.

Speck Of dust

Classy guy ..Go Lenny Go Bucs 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Jo el

So glad he decided to stay with us, and be not just a great teammate but an absolute key to this offense..just like Mike, just like Chris, AB, Gronk..thank you Leonard

    Patrick Asplund

Chris is excellent, except on 3rd down…

    Jo el

    @Patrick Asplund thats absurd

J D

👏👏👏 congrats to Leonard, I am happy for him to be playing on the Bucs team, hope they win another S B,

aahZeiK

I remember at the beginning of the year people arguing with me he sucks as a catching back but I’ve told them he great and he’s proven it week in week out dude was a top 5 pick for a reason very talented

Stephanie Zimbalist

Hey Lenny, Thank you for working so hard to power forward with the opposing team knocking into you and holding on to you. I’m glad you’re on our team.

Bay Baby

On to the next love it. Stay focused playoff Lenny.

Chhiem Chhoeum

Dude went from being full of himself to being ALL IN for the team. Cannot say enough about the current Bucs culture. The focus is insane!

    jd123

He was never full of himself, he was just the best player on a garbage franchise

    Patrick Asplund

    A Lombardi will do that…

    Patrick Asplund

@jd123 When he first came to the Bucs he was causing alot of ruckus because he wasn’t a starter. When he got to the playoffs it looked like it clicked. It stopped being an “I” thing and became a “We” thing. Look at his old pressers from last October- you’ll see what I mean. Total personality flip. Less antagonistic.

MrGoldenthroat

Lenny is one of the top three overall backs in the league!!

Tooligans

Love this guy very humble and big team player

Anthony Paganico

Love the mutual respect they have for each other and it never seems fake. Some teams just say the words. The Bucs live them

XBnPC

“Cut Lenny” 😂 Man, you’re Awesome! Thanks for all ur efforts (&Toddies;) w/the Bucs!! Happy for you and best no matter where or what you’re doing 💯

I find it interesting that L. Fournette that this is his first time being honored with a reward like this. He accounted for over 30% of the Jacksonville Jaguars offense the three years he was there. In Tampa, he does a lot less of the overall offense most of the time but when called upon he performs just like the rest of the team – at a high level. It shows these awards really are given to high performing players on the better teams. If you are on one of the bad teams with little media coverage – forget it. No matter what you do you won’t get player of the week in either conference. He had some great games in Jacksonville for a losing cause so he never was considered before for an award like this.

I find myself liking this guy more and more. He’s dealing with ego just like all the super stars but I’m focused more on his fundamental game.
He is definitely a ‘initiate contact’ kind of running back which is rare to see in someone his size.
He is well aware of his weight advantage over the secondary and his speed advantage over the linebackers so it seems to me he is just looking to avoid the linebackers and plow through the secondary.
With no disrespect to the dozens of spectacular running backs in NFL history, he reminds me of John Riggins, Earl Campbell, Larry Czonka, etc. AND he can catch!
Hopefully, he can keep his ego in check and focus on improving his multiple talents.

Patrick Asplund

I genuinely like him more and more each game.
