People who think that Shaq doesn´t play well since he got his well deserved contract should just shut up and stop looking at sacks alone. He is in a group of 4 defensive players to be in the top5 in each significant pass rush metric, together with Aaron Donald, T J Watt and Myles Garrett. Once the defense is healthy and we might cover a little bit longer, his sacks will go up also.
Having an injured JPP on the other side of the rush allows teams to focus a bit more on his side than last year, which hurts his pure sack production as well. Dudes still ballin out though
You mean sacks, forced fumbles, fumble recoveries, tackles and TFL? The group of 4 to be in the top 5 of significant pass rush stats
Forcing turnovers on back to back drives and most importantly, getting 2 TDs on both.
Donavan Smith played an amazing game! Especially on that last tuddie from Lenny.

I didn’t even realize that. Probably because Winfield Sr was on the Vikings.
How about the blocking from Godwin on Lennys last TD. Pushed that guy back so far before Lenny plowed through him for another 5 yards

Godwin’s block was also what helped Gronk get that first down on 3rd and 8 which was critical.

The fact that Ronde can say he “only” got one Sack + Fumble + Recovery in his career as a CORNER is why he needs to be in the Hall.

Godwin also blocked like a beast all game. He had a block on 3rd and 8 that helped Gronk get the first down, just one of many examples.
Big plays are often because of WRs blocking down field. Too many receivers turn into spectators when the ball isn’t in their hands.
Great analysis on Donovan Smith on that last play. I didn’t even realize he was so downfield freeing up space in a place fans aren’t even looking for
The reliable universal Gronk blocking, distracting and All his catches and plow runs, Helped incredibly !
Props to Mike Edwards. He forced the first takeaway for the Bucs which led to a touchdown and he made the saving tackle on the late kick return that would have tied the score.
