I wish as a Vikings fan the Vikings would have hired him. Great move. Trevor Lawrence will grow if developed. personally speaking, when you beat Tom Brady, the standard of greatness you will demand greatness from your players. They will be Superbowl champion in three years.

    Noah Fernandes

Y’all passed on Harbaugh. Jim’s a amazing coach, I’m a 49er fan. Doug is great as well. Doug is gonna do well with the jags and Trevor. Jags got a ton of high picks and money. They’ll be good soon.

    Noah Fernandes

Trevor just needs weapons and a better OL. Doug is a good play caller.

    Noah Fernandes

He isn’t a prima Dona, I’m a 49er fan. I would know, that’s so overstated. Players like him, Gore loved him.

    Noah Fernandes

Kevin O Connell is a embarrassing hire. Haha. Good luck

Nash Henry

Go Jags! Great hire! Looking forward to seeing the progress in the future.

Hey man, shout out to Big Daddy Shad Khan! I see you trying to figure this out brother and I appreciate you!

Shout out to Douggy P for taking a chance on us to help our city, people and pro team.

I’m excited to see the progress, I’m not expecting SB or bust but I’m just excited to see the guys compete at a high level! They deserve it man, I felt the worst for the players last year, I know they try their best.

God bless you guys, Let’s Get Into This!!

Philly fan here…Doug’s got you guys…believe that!

    Morgan Dillard

DUVALLLL!! That’s the mentality we need as fans!

    Jesus G

Did they fire the gm ? I thought they wanted Adrian Wilson.

SadMarsMadMars

I already like you tenfold more than Urban, you can just tell. One was a stuntman in our club, the other is a coach. Welcome aboard coach!!! Get us over five wins and you’ll be loved forever!

    Antwan Montgomery

    Philly fans here
    He still love Doug
    Y’all got the right guy
    5 wins lol ??
At least y’all winning 8 or 9 moving forward

    Paul Lockyer

We fired Doug and Andy Reid. The GM actually calls plays. He is the problem.

    William Robinson

Get you over 5 wins??? Dude..aim higher 🤣. I mean that with respect..Doug is going to galvanize that locker room. The players won’t quit they will play aggressive, smart, and most of all like family. Get ready to WIN!!!!

rob rahn

I love how the media is basically asking, WHY ARE YOU KEEPING BAALKE?!?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Anna Mortensen

The only GM/HC’s that were let go after a year or less were Smith/Malarkey (expected) and Meyer. Khan gives everyone a chance if feasible. Anyone keeping score knows there was little chance he was getting fired after it was Khan who pushed for Meyer. Bringing in an a solid EVP will keep him in check and pave the way for a new GM if/when the patience wears thin.

    Ryu Ken

Baalke got dirty pics of khan

Trent and Shahid got jammed up in there. Glad to see that the fan base frustration is being represented through the media. Though the organization did have some logical retorts, the field is the equalizer. Go Jags

Loyal Jaguars fan since 2015

Thank goodness we hired a coach for our NFL team with actual success as an NFL head coach! 😂 Duuuval baby

99% of Eagles fans including me are rooting for Doug to succeed!

It will be a very long time before the Eagles get back to the SB!

    Hock56

I definitely agree with that statement

Kevin B

Will always love Doug as an Eagles fan. He coached in a clutch manner in big playoff games. He adapted to the job and listened to feedback like balancing the run with the pass… From afar-it seems like Trevor Lawrence has a good attitude and unquestionable talent… I believe Doug will work well with Trevor Lawrence and this year will see significant improvement by the quarterback this year. Jags are now my second team… Great Luck this Year!!!

Christopher Lee

Happy for the Pederson hire. Love watching Happy Hour. The combination of Shadrick, Brisco, and Boselli is perfect sports coverage. Hope Shadrick retires after a long long career covering the Jags, he’s first class all the way. My fellow Jag fans know this is the rise of an era in Jags History that will be remembered in the fan base for generations. It’s just beginning my friends.

Raja Koffa

Wow as an eagles fan I must say there’s no hard feelings over here. He was an awesome coach for us couldn’t ask for anything more.

    Teri Kay

I know Eagles fans are passionate and we’re longing for a Super Bowl championship. How could Doug not get another chance until now ?

Raja Ramanujam

Lifelong Eagles fans, Jags are now my AFC Team. Doug is a great coach

well your afc team will cause you constant pain

Shea Erik Govan I

Football is crazy…as a Eagles fan I still love that man… I’m so happy for him and his family… it’s messed up that he will most likely get them wins and a axe to grind with my team (thank God it’s AFC) but congratulations Dougie P

I wanted this guy since I found out he was a candidate. I was extremely dissapointed that his name just kind of vanished, but I kept holding on and was SO EXCITED that he was named head coach! I wanted NFL head coaching experience and am so freaking happy that we got this man. I didn’t want anyone on that candidate list to become head coach of this franchise more than Pederson or even Caldwell. Both are PROVEN winners and with this team, you have to have that, PERIOD.

digitalgr8ness

As an Eagles fan, I believe Doug will be very successful in Jacksonville! The Eagles were stupid for firing Doug. He won the first Super Bowl in franchise history. Two division titles, 3 playoff appearances and a Super Bowl in only 5 years. Doug should have been given the same courtesy as Andy Reid. Andy was with the Eagles for 14 years. He had great success but also a few bad years in between. Yet Lurie kept him, despite never winning a Super Bowl. Lurie firing Doug so abruptly and not doing enough to preserve the team that won the Super Bowl speaks volumes about how inept he and Howie Roseman have been. Doug should never have been fired! I hope he becomes the first coach to win Super Bowls with 2 different teams. Go Jags!

    Dan King

Doug needed to go. I will love him for everything he did for us but it was time. Team was nosediving fast. He became predictable and refused to give up play calling.

    Alex Dwyer

It’s the way of the NFL today (and the US in general). Churn and burn…not a lot of second chances…people want results over night. Blame a lot of that on our media and social media landscape.

    Strait Jacket

So very true! Hey I wonder what Chip Kelly is up to these days? Ha ha 😂

therealjd4life

Jaguars you hired a great great coach, everybody in Philly was very upset when Doug unfairly got fired..Doug’s team were decimated with injuries and still won a super bowl in his second year and in his third year Nick Foles stepped up once again and they were a couple plays away from being on the brink of another Super Bowl, everybody in Philly is now also a Jags fan and that says alot about what we think of Doug….. …duvall!!

Kartsonis_

As an eagles fan, the Jaguars are now my second favorite team in the NFL. Will always love Doug for what he did for us and our city. Don’t forget this is the guy that Andy Reid told the Eagles to hire immediately. I guess we will also see as eagles fans wether it was a smart move to get rid of him in the first place.

Paul S

The problem wasn’t Doug in philly, its the eagles owner and roseman. The meddling by the owner and bad drafting in philly is a big problem. Doug will do well.

    Jon Raquet

Baalke better let Doug do his thing. Otherwise it probably won’t end well.

God N Cowboys

I’m not Eagles fan, but as a Cowboys fan I always appreciated him for being a good coach. And now ill be rooting for him to succeed and develop Trevor to be a great QB
