@Maddog Goodpaster We let a damn good guy go. No we were not winning but the videos don’t lie Matt had nothing, Zero a rookie TE and Patterson. Matt had no protection and he could never count on our defense. I wish him all the best he is deserving and the colt fans will see he plays his heart out every game.

He can clearly still throw at least 50 yards, which is about as far as Ryan has always been able to throw it.
He’s not washed at all.
The supporting cast around him is what declined over the last couple years.
He’s not the same player he’s smart and I think he’s another Rivers type
But I also think letting wentz go was the wrong move

So many games this guy handed the defense a 4th qtr lead and they blew it. Hopefully in Indy he’ll have a unit that won’t force him to put up 40 a game just to have a *chance* at victory.

Nyheim Hines went from having a career year with Rivers to a down year with Wentz. I GUARANTEE Hines will have a great year again with Ryan at QB. Patterson just had the best season of his career with Ryan throwing him the ball all the time.

@Wanda Meadows How did the Falcons embarass themselves? They accomodated Matt’s preference even though they likely could have gotten more for him. Pretty classy if you ask me
@ectobeam they only took a third round pick for him, they took a 40 million dollar dead cap hit, and they traded away their franchise QB and arguably the franchise’s best player ever. Matthew Stafford was worth a young super bowl QB in Jared Goff, 2 first round picks and more. Further when compared to Matthew Stafford and Tom Brady, Matt Ryan has had worse teams and put up better numbers. The Colts have restructured his contract now too, so I’m not sure if that affects the Falcons dead cap hit at all. Still the trade was quite the steal for the Colts. I think Ballard mightve figured out he had the power since the Colts were the only choice for Matt Ryan to leave Atlanta to which the Falcons just wanted to be nice.
@J Even more reason that they should get kudos for accomodating his decision. Obviously they could have gotten more, it’s not like they flubbed the opportunity to get a couple picks, they wanted to do right by Matt. It does surprise me they went for only a 3rd round pick though, it’s a great deal for the Colts (who are my team).
@ectobeam its not necessarily a diss at them so much as it is recognizing what an absolute steal of a deal it is. The Falcons are in talks with one of the Colts Defensive lineman, can’t remember the name but he’s no. 2 for playing time and production.
Hopefully you guys can appreciate him more, as a Falcons fan I must say that our ratchet fan base never really did that.

as a die hard falcons fan he was always my favorite player even when he did not so great, but after the MVP season people expected him to play like that every game but when he did not play out of his mind every game people called him trash when he was what held the team together. GOOD LUCK MATT 🥲

46 Year Atl Fan here saying Congrats Colts, you’ll got a great QB that’s extremely professional & has 3-5 years still left in the tank. In Matts 14 years career he’s only missed 3 games. Extremely durable & im glad he got out of ATL where they were trying to make him be more mobile which is what you don’t do with a great pocket passer. Ryan is a gem you dont put in harms way.

All jokes aside, last old man QB we got never missed a single game, and finished his career with 240 consecutive starts. We like I our Iron Man QB’s here.

Thats what high IQ QBs do. Just like Brady who uses his check downs often. Him & Ryan are very similar. Matt has right at 60,000 passing yards & he doesn’t focuses on the deep ball, he just takes what the defense gives him. Ryan is #1 in game winning drives of QBs still playing with 42.

Ryan had no one that season. The facts the he was a drive away from 4000 yards is crazy. Hope he wins one with you guys. He’s still my QB lol.
He can still sling it for sure. He’s a total professional, a leader and he takes care of his body well. I’m excited to see him out there with JT, MPJ, that O line and hopefully another good WR. Definite upgrade and better fit over Carson, if you argue that you just simply don’t know football.
Love the pocket presence when there is one. Haven’t watched much Matt Ryan tbh but he looks very capable of executing a gameplan without going rogue.
