All we needed was one more stop on defense
Not really
Defense did enough to win this game, idc what anyone says. We won the turnover battle and the offense wasn’t able to get it done. Gotta get it done next week in Jacksonville. Haven’t won there since 2014 and it’d be nice momentum going into the playoffs.

@KingKracker agreed. The offense does need to do better, but Leonard had the PERFECT opportunity to stop Carr. Even if Carr simply threw it away, it was 3rd and 10 with 50 seconds left and we had all 3 times outs. They would have had to punt. Giving Wentz at least 45 seconds with all 3 time outs to get into field goal range. I think everyone right now is so frustrated with how Wentz played, that they are overlooking this key play. Wentz does need to improve next week, which I’m sure he will. He played great against the Cards just last week. He will be fine once he gets back on the practice field.
This game was definitely on the offense couldn’t get anything going
@Derek Fetter it was, but I really saw mistakes in all 3 phases all day. and tons of coaching mistakes. this is really a team loss. both sides of the ball started slow. raiders scored on their first 2 drives, colts 3 n out forst drive, can’t remember the second drive lol. so Punt I’m sure lol. team loss. easy to just blame carson cuz of the bad throws. cuz we all seen it! it’s all the other mistakes to that last the game. the not so easy stuff to see, but hey that’s why we don’t make the big money coaches make lol. to see and correct
@scott campbell Wentz wasn’t helped the playcalling at all. He was coming off covid no practice all week. I was expecting him to be rusty. In 2 of the first 4 drives we ran on 1st and 2nd zone and gained nothing. We put him in 3rd and long situations too often. He was also pressured 25 times. The oline let him down and receivers struggled to get open leading to him holding onto the ball for long periods
Remember the days when Leonard was on the bench and he would yell “12 is special man. That boy 12 is different I’m telling y’all” and Now we basically have to see him bite his lip about Wentz. I like Wentz but it’s just such a sad difference🥲

@Goat Stature Bro Leonard did the same thing for Brissett in there but you never heard him say 7 is special or different😂 To win a super bowl we need someone like that. Or else we might just be a wild card for the next decade. I’m cool with the excitement and drama of all that. But I guarantee you there’s players in there that know what it takes to win a Super Bowl. I think they can still do it with Carson, but let’s hope he bounces back
Man I’d love to have this player in the Raiders locker room. What a great skill set and even greater character/leadership. Glad the Raiders eeked it out cuz we absolutely needed it but that was a hell of a game.

We’ll be ok. Wentz has to understand he can’t throw down field all the time. Take the easy throws. Give JT a chance. Taking the field goal and milking the clock sealed our fate. We should have saved as much clock as possible. Reich messed up there
I think he messed up once they took JT out the game on that final drive. we HAD to score a TD there and not settle for a field goal. we keep that drive alive and we take the clock way down. not the first time Frank has done this type of move and the always ended in a loss. the screen play call was really bad, rather give the ball to JT 2 more times and let him get us a 1st down. once the kicked the field goal I knew we lost the game.
You can’t expect Wentz to take the easy throw when 2 of our first 4 drives we run on 1st and 2nd down and gain nothing leaving him with 3rd and long situations. Also the final drive we run on 1st down do a Hines screen on 2nd down that gains nothing and then are in another 3rd and long situation leading to a FG instead of a TD
@Jack Jaylen Wentz throws a lot on 2nd down. You can’t run Taylor on 3rd and long. That has been the issue. And I agree with you the screen passes

Double team renfrow on 3rd downs bc that’s the only player looks at on that down and run the dam ball and the colts win , another loss imo on frank riech..up buy 4 in the 4th quarter and they pass on 3 straight downs, it makes no sense

Defense played well enough to win. JT did his part. This loss is on Wentz. The man can’t complete a simple throw to a wide open TY Hilton? That’s about as basic as it gets. #2 panics under pressure, and let’s be honest — he’s not very smart and he’s a weak teammate.
