I wish Herbert could say “fire lombardi”
I know. And tbh, he’s right they did look PREPARED but Lombardi’s play calling looked scared. I mean look at the ridiculously gutsy plays they were calling when they were winning. Now he’s curled up into his little box and is only calling safe plays.
Granted every team knows how to beat the chargers now but still, all the more reason to take shots

Opponents defense is all crowded in the middle because there is no deep pass plays

The one move I really hated was letting Pep go! I think that was huge and I’m not going to lie are offense, I think was much better last year under Lyn! Lombardi sucks!

1) horrible play calling, ran almost every 1st down. Lombardi should’ve realized when we passed on early downs we moved the chains easily & scored TDs
2) please fire defensive coordinator or CUT #20. Campbell LITERALLY gave up every single big play. Vikings targeted him! Before the crucial 3rd & 20 in the last 3 minutes of the game I told a Chargers group chat “#20 needs help he’s been getting burned.” Sure enough, he gave up a 19 yard pass. Why didn’t we send him help?? CUT CAMPBELL 💩
Lombardi needs to go….Lombardi, calling plays for Herbert as if Herb is 50yrs old stretch the defense, Herbert, could fling the ball every so often Dont you think. And Spanos ,cheap a%# needs to spend money and get some players in the off season.

agree.. this team needs a fast wr that can stretch the field. Allen and Williams are just route runners and too slow. Hey Lombardi, Herbert is not Brees.

@A- DUB the entire premise of Staley’s defense is to double those receivers. You’re agitating for an adjustment that’s already in place.
Let me find you a video on Staley’s defense philosophy, hold on. Oh, and by the way, I can also find a slew of comments I made preseason about the Chargers not having the personnel yet to properly run this defense.

@Ceez B Campbell is a 4th stringer I think he only did what he could do. Alohi Gilman needs to play better in my opinion, but once we get healthy on defense it’ll be a lot better
Vikings gave us plenty of chances to take the game. We got the ball with a 1 left before the half around the 50. We got at least get FG attempt. Nor sure we need to pay Mike Williams this off-season. We don’t use him enough and when we do. He can’t come up with play. Not sure if it’s just me, but shouldn’t our offense have better chemistry? We played a stronger schedule before the bye and looked alot better on offense. I honestly was more scared when it was 3 & 10+, rather than 3&5. Can’t give up those first downs. It’s going to come down to the wire. Brightside, we are 2-0 in division.

From my last comment: agree, been saying this all season long. We have a Ferrari in Herbert, but is being used like a Camry. If Herbert doesn’t have long bomb throws in a game, it kills momentum. Come on OC get creative. Don’t waste Herberts talent.

Smh…) I hope everyone truly knows what’s at stake now, the Chiefs have entered the game, and if we’re not careful, they may take our ball and go home with it. Missed my parlay because this game, damn as a chargers fan I always take the line but this game made me sick, right after it got to 20-27 we get them for a holding call backed them up to their goal line but next play give up a 11-yard draw cooks a beast but we had 5 guys not even wanna take him down, and then when it was 3rd and 20 and give up 19 yards this game was so messed up
Don’t forget when alohi Gilman didn’t listen to Chris Harris and left the middle of the field open for a first down on third.

I say its more of the same with the defense. Missed tackles and not stopping the run especially on third down and long conversions. Hebert looked trouble from the start and seemed off. Something up they are not telling us or maybe its just rookie jitters and to be expected either way..keep the faith and onto next week

Same old comments Herbert . They have a great front seven , they our well coached , they execute very well, there athletic . Please stop it . Start with this . Lombardi’s offense does not fit me in anyway . Our run defense stinks . My offense drops atleast 5 plus balls a game . Anthony Lynn had a better offense that fit me . Pip Hamilton was a perfect qb coach for me . Staley talks way too much about relationships and less about the game of football . We stink but i don’t want to hurt coach Staley or Lombardi with bad words . etc etc etc

Win or Lose always love the L.A.Chargers but gotta step the game up we have talent on the team let’s get it done enough conservative b.s.
I still believe in this team and coach Staley. But the play calling must get better on both sides of the ball, if we’re gonna have any chance at the playoffs, let alone winning the division
I think what the one reporter was getting at was that the Chargers had one series where they quickly and easily marched down the field for a score using designed rollouts and screens, but then inexplicably reverted back to the “pocket passing” game that clearly wasn’t working. Why not just stick with what’s working?
Herbert has a lower average depth of target than jacoby Brissett. That one stat should be enough to fire Lombardi
