1st year coach, 2nd year QB…5-3 is a hell of a start. I think it’s so important to remember how much this team is still learning and growing together as a team. The truth is there isn’t a lot of game experience within a lot of the units and they’re only going to get better. A win over another tough, run-dominant opponent would be huge. Stopping Dalvin Cook needs to be the priority because he can single-handedly keep the ball from us if we let him.

    SKIP THE BASE

This is a great point. Remember the Bolts won last 4 from last year too. Team is 9-3 in last 12 games.

    Philip Harrison

    Big facts

    Jeremy Gentry

Not to mention, a whole new system to learn for everyone

    Ryan Suter

I know I am just happy that the Chargers have a winning record.

    Isaiah Gennis

If we can get hot going into the playoffs we have a great chance of taking it all

Every game from here on out is must win. We played our hard games in the front end. It’s time to execute and evolve our run defense.

all games are tough…you must be new

    Dontno Nowuno

Minnesota has a real team ,k.c. again,at Vegas,at Denver and home, Pitt , at Cincy, even the Giants defense has been gritty and if they get some offensive players back they are real dangerous. We got the team to compete but it’s a week to week league

    Dominique Patterson

@Dontno Nowuno definitely we have some quality opponents left. Not including the division game. I also think we can make a real run for 12-5, 13-4.

Let’s Go Chargers

    Gabriel Ward

At least it’s not Lynn love the man not the coach , Staley is promising

Aaron Lawrence

K9 on the edge could be 🔥

heckz leon

At this point we need our defense to come up with big plays in the 4th quarter specially last 2 minutes of the game

lifelikeamovie LAC

We need to somehow make Vikings settle for FG or get some turnovers. A formula for winning NFL

As a first year coach I look at Staley like a football scientist. If you think about it he has only had the helm and control as a head coach for 5 months. New team, new players, new coaches, & new schemes; 5 months. He is so smart the way he analyses and hypothesizes in the games. Every week there’s something new because every week has a life of its own. He comes up with a plan, works out the problems in practice and try’s it in the game. His method so to speak. Keeps what works and tosses out what doesn’t. However, he cant know what doesn’t work until he try’s it out. That’s why this year the team has already exceeded my expectations. He has had to figure out how our players operate and figure out how to play them correctly like he said with Murray playing new roles. A chess master in the making. lol It makes me excited for the coming years as a Chargers fan. This year is the just calm before the storm this team is going to bring to the league.

Facts Staley and Herbert WILL get US chargers fans a Super Bowl win 💯

    Ryan Suter

    Well said!

    Ryan Suter

Because he is new it will be interesting to see how the organization approaches player development and continuity while he is head coach!

    Dontno Nowuno

Murray off the edge would be scary

Richard Peterson

I love how he was talking about the Ryan Smith injury and how he spoke on K9 !! He really understands the dynamics of each player ,!! And people need to chill , he’s a first yr Coach with a 2nd yr QB..new D defense..new offense.. ..lighten up…

Ryan Suter

Go Brandon exclamation focusing on positives of the run defense is wonderful

dom g

I hope you guys are going to do as good as you were doing in the first half of the season

Alton Kaylynn McClure

I gotta say…I love our head coach…go chargers

AWM

Coach Staley is the type to talk about a player’s pop Warner film. This man studies!

Richard Jimenez

As always, most impressive is Staley’s depth of knowledge in all aspects of the game! I really think our offense is better tooled than our D. Even special teams have developed better than our D. I’m not talking players on D, I’m talking getting out coaches on D. Which is surprising given Staley’s background.
