Yeah he got fired from the Chargers but Philip Rivers and Justin Herbert have nothing but praise for him and he gets the most out of his players and I’m talking guide like Tyrod Taylor and Trent Edwards looked very serviceable under Lynn.
He wasnt going to “retire”, I don’t think he ever even said that word but he did say he was going to take the usual year away from football that NFL coaches take.

The locker room was fractured, your QB wouldn’t even attempt to run the play and just dumped it off. ( seriously, he wasn’t even looking downfield most of the time and then just decided to try one day …i think it was week 10)
Also, if you think Lynn was the problem man you must believe that Jared Harrington is the future? It came down to Lynn or Harrington in Camp and it’s looking like Dan chose Jared and we seen the domino effect within the locker room…
Nobody likes Jared Goff!!! Except maybe Dan Campbell Amon Ra and Josh Reynolds so…that’s something to build around, right?

If you have followed this team, you would know that guy wasn’t even trying the first 10 weeks of the season and he was only “good” 2 games, rarely threw DF and appears to be disliked by 90% of the WRs who get forced to play with him.

Listen, I knw fans are in LOVE with Dan but we have seen nothing but more of the same.
More guys have left the Lions since Dan took over. After cutting numerous QuinnTricia Vets, they signed FAs to replace them but CUT THEM WITHIN 2 MONTHS …. So…He has ended up with a roster of UDFAs, 3rd stringers and PS players who are just happy to be getting a chance and are playing for an NFL contract, plus actual game film and ofcourse the name on the back of the jersey.
Im sure players are looking at Detroit and asking around but if they cant keep FAs happy then the draft picks will never pan out, which means he wont win and the “culture” stays the same. We have seen nothing that would make us think otherwise aside from “entertaining interviews” which even that is debatable.
@Lisa Delorenzo No, srry… I see the same argument every single day in fan group but they sign those guys and released them literally week and months later and one of their free agents retired one day into training camp…
So, it’s not like Dan decided to cut bad free-agent signings that Patricia and Quinn brought here because he KEPT about half of those and they stopped playing by week 8…
the NEW FAs, Williams, Fells and Perriman, Elder, ect ect ect…those guys wanted OFF the team mere weeks and months after signing and we all know that was around the time they reported for camp and met the coaching staff so most fans just ignore this.
It started over the quarterback situation it’s very obvious that guy’s simply do not like Jared anywhere he goes, he was an issue in LA, divided the locker room and we traded FOR HIM while Dan forced him on the fans and the players, Dan Campbell stuck buy his guy and is is trying to tell us that they might build around him today LOL

@Xerxes Exo Dan Campbell did not sign those FA players to contracts that would cost the Lions 20 to 60 million to cut due to the contracts signed. Do you understand or is that above your education level. He absolutely cut the players that wouldn’t bankrupt the team that were not buying in to the culture he is trying to create. Why keep a player who doesn’t want to be a Lion or play with the QB selected. And I don’t believe for a second that Goff is Campbell’s QB. He is Holmes QB but that does not mean he will be the QB if he doesn’t perfom next year.

Give it a couple of years, give dan a little time, we got picks let’s see how they far next year, at that time if all is the same I will say your right.
I’ve been a Detroit Lions fan for 48 years, I like watching great players in the league, I stopped the sol years ago, something will change.

Cmon, you think Brad Holmes has been forcing Dan to start Goff all along? And that he never told Dan he would be trading for Goff and just dumped maybe the worst starting QB on him? A locker room cancer, known coach killer… Why would he set up Campbell to fail like that?

Dan Campbell is something of a media personality or an Entertainer and he belongs in the WWE with Pat McAfee, I think he would make an excellent pro wrestler… He’s got the size, people like to hear him talk (for some reason) and he could even use the kneecap thing as part of his wrestling gimmick!
There again: Pat McAfee could even be his tag team partner! Motor City Dan and there again, Indy Pat McAfee! Dan bites your knee and then Pat punts your face while you struggle with Dan…. The Motor City Knee Punt is their finisher?

He knows what to say, when to say it and even how to say it for the “marks” (Lions fanbase) and we have been kept in the dark this whole time while the Lynn and Jared Harrington drama unfolded and Dan just said “there again” while refusing to hold his franchise quarterback accountable.
He even cried once or twice in a pathetic attempt to get his players to show up for him the following week and the defense did for AG but…the offense?…yeah, Jared Harrington just decided to show up one day all on his own and the Marks will never know why because they’ll never even ask!!! Smh…
