@Bryan Smith honestly, Godwin Igwebuike is being utilized in other areas of the team that aren’t running back related, but Godwin does bring something to the table.
Having Craig Reynolds, D’Andre Swift, Jamaal Williams, Jermar Jefferson, and Godwin Igwebuike adds depth to our running backs room that will keep defenses on their toes.
With our wide out room of Joshua Reynolds, Amon-Ra St Brown, and Kalif Raymond… it gives Jared Goff more weapons at his arsenal.
The chemistry of the offense is clicking. I love it!

Or maybe he’s a bust. That would be more in line with his performance to date. I get it, he knows a helluva lot more than I do about the game and the team. My only source these past few years have been my lying eyes and while I’m no expert, I’ve been a Lions fan long enough to recognize subpar play when I see it and in my opinion he epitomizes it. He has a game better suited to the CFL. Maybe the Lions can swing a trade with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for a Tim-Horton’s gift card.
As for Craig Reynolds, if he’s not in the mix going forward something is amiss. I like Swift but he’s looking like another in the long list of fragile running backs the Lions have drafted since Barry hung em up. I seem to recall in preseason Campbell saying they would stick with the hot-hand. Well right now Reynolds is hot. Does a guy earn it or is it a situation where you play a guy based on tenure and draft position? I didn’t like that lukewarm endorsement at all. Sorry, years of Lions fandom has conditioned me to expect them to blow it and I hope they don’t with this kid because all he’s done since he showed up is show up. To borrow from Keshawn, give him the damn ball!
He’s just gassing him up cause Campbell is a good leader, but I bet you Will Harris is gone next year.

@Itinerant Patriot Not gonna happen, not because of his play, but because he’s one of the leaders of that locker room. He’s never been a big sack number guy but he’s been pretty good against the run. They can probably get rid of him after next season without losing too much money though.

In my humble and honest opinion, Dan Campbell more than deserves Coach of the Year in a season or two as he and the coaching staff he has assembled have been developing the Honolulu Blueprint and Silver lining of Driven by Detroit championship success. This Detroit Lions team continues to surpass and exceed expectations. They’re finishing this season stronger than how they’ve entered it.
Detroit Lions aren’t playing for a consolation prize. Honolulu Blue and Silver are playing to beat teams in the NFL. Yes!
As a lifelong Lions fan, I would love to see the Detroit Lions beat the Falcons, Seahawks, and Packers, playoff contention or not. Just to tell the entire league that the Detroit Lions aren’t the laughing stock of the league and our Lions are about to repeat history to dominate the NFL.
The Detroit Lions are a better team than their record this season. Bright future ahead for this Detroit Lions team.
The tie against Steelers, wins against Vikings and Cardinals were phenomenal! Steelers, Vikings, and Cardinals are all still in the playoff conversation thus far. I trust that the current Lions GM and our college scouts will add the right pieces for our team when that time comes regardless of our Lions draft position.
This Dan Campbell Detroit Lions have been developing to be a future Super Bowl Championship caliber team from day one. That tie and these wins will pay more dividends for the Lions franchise now and in the long run.
With that reasoning, he deserves to be Superbowl MVP…regardless of the record.
