Nervous Mike! This guy is funny as hell once he warms up. He’ll be your great coach and “the evil genius” to the rest of the AFC East once he gets rolling. We miss him greatly.
It’s funny how many niner fans have been singing his praise and how they will miss him and the majority of our fanbase lashes out at him for absolutely no reason.

Not sure how you can’t be happy for this guy. It’s refreshing to see someone who has a personality and passion for the game. Glad to see him as our coach

Congratulations to all the Dolphins fans. You got yourself a legit prodigy with Mike. The term genius is not a big word for Mike. There is a big reason why Kyle Shanahan kept him aboard for years upon years and tried his hardest to consistently block teams from snagging him. Unfortunately for the 49ers, it was time for Mike to get credit for all his work. And I’m so happy for him. Definitely one of the coolest coaches in the NFL. I wish him nothing but the best. I’ll definitely be cheering on the Dolphins outside of vs the 49ers (obviously lol).
@Tre Anthony The man’s name is McDaniel not McDaniels. His name isn’t plural. I will say it again, Ross is a terrible owner. At least he has his coach who will lose games for him now. They won’t even have to lose on purpose.
@Eric Jackson The best course of action would have been to keep Flores. He had two years remaining on his contract. He was the first Dolphins coach with consecutive winning seasons since 2002-03. But since they fired him, I would have preferred they hire Doug Pederson. He is a Super Bowl winning coach and former quarterback who would have been better in getting the best out of Tua. He won a Super Bowl in his second season with Nick Foles and made Carson Wentz a great player before he tore his ACL. He was really having an MVP season before he got hurt. Pederson is now in Jacksonville with Trevor Lawrence and I’m more optimistic for them than I am Miami.
@John Reese Totally agree on Flores 100%. I like McDaniel (49ers fan), but this hire shocked me. For the Dolphins sake, I hope it works. McDaniel couldn’t have walked into a better situation. That team has to make the playoffs in year 1. As for Pederson, I feel sorry for him. As long as Baalke is around, I don’t expect him to overcome that.

This guy seems genuine and legit. The emotion is understandable when you look back in life and acknowledge the people in your life that got you to where you are. Great intro and hopeful for the Dolphins future.

Not a fins fan at all, but this guy seems amazingly authentic in a world where nobody can actually seem to be, I can understand why players follow his lead. Seems like a winner to me.

Love that word choice. Sad that authenticity is so rare, but every Flores press conference seemed so sterile that I’m really looking forward to someone showing some honesty and emotion!
I am so impressed with Coach McDaniel. His attitude is so refreshing and I believe 100% he’s the right coach for the Miami Dolphins!

This has been a crazy few weeks for me. My father’s funeral was today and he was a lifelong Dolphins fan, in attendance for the perfect season and everything. His fandom rubbed off on me and we bonded over it.
Watching this is making me wish he could have stuck around a few more years to finally see greatness again. No idea if that will happen but I’m feeling pumped that Mike is our coach. If he brings us to the superbowl someday I’ll probably explode.

I’m rooting for him to do well because you can see that he wants to. I also see the uncertainty which produces his anxiety. Being the leader of an organization where he must set the example and maintain it everyday is a lot, and he’s achieved this quickly.
