@[MIA]WHIPLASH73 I actually think that there’s something to this. I think his anxiety comes from his uncertainty and lack of trust in his own self. As the HC he has to set the example and maintain it everyday. Or else the players will not follow. That’s tough to do for anyone let alone a recovering addict.
@Jacques Onu I want the best for him and the team but I have been burned by addicts or “recovering addicts” one to many times to know better so yes I am skeptical. High pressure situation like this could be very tough for someone with addiction issues. Once an addict, always an addict. I hope he does well!

I love this coach already. Trying not to get too excited too early because we’ve been through this too many time before but nevertheless phins up!!!!
Man gonna miss this guy. He’s earned it though. He worked from the bottom up. Hes got a sense of humor to him. Curious to see if he keeps it as a head coach. This is a big loss for us. Wonder who he’s gonna bring in as a Defensive Cordinator?
@Truthhurts35 I think that’s actually a good idea. That defensive system started to work when Phillips and especially Holland developed mid-season. They should still a LB and a CB, but why mess with what ‘s working?

49ER fan here. Mike is going to bring it. He will fuse the run/pass game confusing defenses. He will get the most from every player. He will stack the defensive line. Yeah, I have another team to watch next year!
