I live in Chicago, my mom was a secretary in the late 80’s at Eisenhower HS in a Chicago burb. Ron went to speak to the students there and my Mom was able to speak with him for a few minutes. She described him as a friendly, sincere, respectful man. My sis was at USC at the time, Ron signed my Mom’s trojan stuffed toy she had on her desk and still has it today.Ron was never a big name player but he fully utilized every bit of talent he had. He was one of Buddy Ryan’s favorites.
I dont think Ron can comprehend the significance he has in our latino community. I’m proud of Ron and know his late brother smiles everyday watching over his hermano.
It’s been a loooonnnngggg time since I have seen this team looked so hyped, have to give credit to Ron and Jack.
