My heart is broken today but I still love them chiefs! Hats off to the Bengals I hope they take it all the way but I still feel like we were the better team and that makes it even tougher

Completely ignoring the run game during crucial moments was their downfall, especially since it had been very effective the ENTIRE game. 2nd and Goal, 4 yds from the endzone and they don’t even try to run it. McKinnon or CEH would’ve ran it into the endzone and we would’ve won the game. But they decide to give it to Mahomes knowing he wasn’t playing as well during the second half and he loses yards in the next two plays forcing them to a FG. I love this team, and I know next season is going to be great, but Andy needs work on his playcalling.
1st half: Mahomes under center a lot. Power running. Play action. Misdirection.
2and half : 3×1 Shotgun RPO over and over again.
That whole ‘diverse offense’ works good… then they just start spamming the same play/formation. Was wack AF. Why?!
I agree they should have ran it there. It even looks like he could’ve scramble forward and got some yards on some of those place and he kept running backwards. One example was a third and three. He ran backwards got taken down and they had the pot. Looks like he definitely would have made it if he just ran FORWARD! everyone is hating on the defense but this loss is 100% on the offense! Even on the overtime drive on second down Tyreek hill is open with no on in front or him and and probably would’ve had a touchdown if he got the pass.
Just promise us that when we have games like this in the future that aren’t working.. RUN THE BALL!!
Also, no more RPO’s.
I hate RPO’s. The nfl figured it out. It’s why qbr was down league wide.
Why they decided to abandon an effective 1st half offense for shotgun RPO spamming in the 2nd will baffle me until my final days.
Why do that? Running/play action from under center has worked all year, while spamming shotgun RPO’s is what lead the the early offensive struggles this year.
Why abandon what’s working for what didnt work all year? The OL is dominant running the ball outside of the shotgun rpo’s. Its doesnt always have to be about mahomes. Sometimes dual te’s or I form power running is okay. Especially when the bengals could not stop it. Mahomes was near perfect until they changed the offensive approach for no reason
His backs are too small.
@Andre Noble The OL was pushing guys 6 yards upfield. I could run behind these guys.
@Andre Noble At least setup for a 3rd and short and do a fade or run it himself. Just eat away the clock with some small ball! It’s maddening that they went back to what failed at the first of the season.

It’s a sad loss… We as fans can say “oh this went wrong, that’s a bad play” but I know you and all the Coaching staff did your best. We see the improvements from season to season. Now iam hype to see the next season. Heads up don’t let them brake down on this. The whole Chiefs Kingdom is behind you and we keep cheering for all of the Players and Coaches 🙂
It was a very close game and I am so proud of the CHIEFS! I look forward to next Fall when the new season starts. I will be always cheering for the Chiefs. Thank you for all of the hard work!

The loyalty of this amazing fanbase should be rewarded. It’s insane how many games like this one there has been. It’s kinda like they get your hopes up and then rip your heart out and step on it. I love this franchise so much and have been all in since ’93 but man its soo tough.
Here since the 70s bro. It’s been a long hard road but we stay faithful. I love this team and loyalty matters to me. I’m still amazed when I think about the 4 AFC championships and two super bowl visits in 4 years

We went to bed broken hearted after that loss last night but our Chiefs have had way more good than bad days and win, loose, or tie we’ll always stand behind our Chiefs till we die!

The loss sucked but this is still the best 4 year stretch in my lifetime so I can’t be too mad. A lot of teams would take what KC has done.
