Dude he’s next in line after Andy retires. He knows that. He doesn’t want to coach a 2-15 jaguars or lions team for a couple years, then get fired and probably get an offensive coordinator job for a worse team. It’s better for him to wait 4 or 5 years than be the head coach for the rest of Patrick mahomes career
@Adam Clark he has waited 4 or 5 years. He isn’t going to wait 10 years and wait for him to retire. I hate to loose him but I don’t want to hinder his career either. Andy Reed’s assistants have gone on to have good coaching careers and won superbowls. Eric has put in the time work and deserves a shot. If not then come back to kc and wait it out til Andy retires. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Chicago pull the trigger and hire him after they can Naggy. Maggy can come back and be the offensive coordinator again.
I see Andy maybe retiring in 1-2 years, EB will be the next HC
@ChiefSkiLLZ IF Andy didn’t have mahomes , I might be inclined to agree. But he is a generational talent and Andy has been waiting for this setup his whole life. Andy will coach until he can’t anymore…hopefully it won’t be something health related. He is like 70 and LOVES him some cheeseburgers and bbq!
My only two faults I find with the Chiefs are #1 They take their foot off the gas in the 2nd half. #2 Spags being bullheaded at times. Why doesn’t Spag use cover 2 when we play a team with a receiver like the bengals. If cover 2 can slow down or stop Hill, then we should be able to use it to take the other team best receiver away !!!

How about we stress the fundamental idea that if you keep getting burned deep by one particular player, you don’t dial up man to man coverage on 3rd and 27 with the game hanging in the balance. Just sayin.

If we make a deep run in the playoffs I think he will stay, he loves this team and if we can again make it deep in the playoffs I think he would prefer to stay
He is marked in the NFL because of his past situation . I think he could go to collegiate level.
EB is a good coach. That Petro and Nate questions seemed to really get good info. Liked hearing about the Boot boys. The culture on the team is amazing. I love how they pair groups like the new O line
