That’s very true but that was not Jameis’s fault. The AH from the bucks player who pulled him down caused his injury.
Jameis is a hard worker and will be back as soon as he can after therapy and strenghting.

@Kathy0205 Gotta stay positive. Not many teams lose their Hall of Fame QB and make playoffs the following year. Look at the Patriots since Brady left. Only now are they getting some wind in their sails. The Saints have the right coach. Who Dat’s should remain positive and accept certain things. Mind you, I wouldn’t accept more than two or three years like this, but it’s only one season. Saints will bounce back. ⚜️

Jameis is a free agent after the season. I doubt if he’ll be back. The starting QB for next year might end up being Taysom Hill if he can clean up his mistakes. Beyond next year, it will probably be someone else.

@Colby Cooper the season wouldn’t be going much better with Jameis…maybe a little bit, but not much. There’s a lot of other guys out, too. What can Jameis do without Kamara and Michael Thomas? The way that we were playing early in the season wasn’t sustainable. Eventually, your WRs have to make plays, and we simply just don’t have any. That’s not Jameis’ fault either, but this team struggled to move the ball with Jameis playing, and that eventually catches up with you. We’d probably have a couple more wins if Jameis was playing over Siemian, but we weren’t going to beat anybody in the playoffs this year regardless. We need a new QB who isn’t Jameis, Taysom, or Siemian.

Too bad he’s too out of shape to keep it up. If you’re older than 12 and know anything about football, he was dead TIRED after all that damn running… so much as to where his throws were HORRIBLE.

Taysom is too injury prone to run more than 5-6 times a game. This guy was glass coming out of college, I dont see that changing.

@L. Hunt So, if you were the coach what would your game plan be? Just give up? Hill just signed a new contract, he should perform what he was paid to do…if that requires running in order to score and trying to avoid injuries, well that’s what he needs to do. These guys are professional athletes paid to do a job, it’s not fantasy football.

I’ve been noticing that too. The Saints org needs to clean house. So many dumb decisions have been made and now they are bearing rotten fruit.

It’s the QB. I think if drew had come back we would have won 9 games, short throwing us down the field. But unable to win a playoff game. The QB can clean up a lot of the mistakes on offense as well as drafting a few talented receivers. The defense stays close to the line and increases pressure on the OL and QB because taysom does an average job reading defenses and finding the open receiver unlike Drew. Taysom might beat the jets but that’s it, no way he wins more than 2 games. Why are we playing this guy?

@Chris Pavageau oh, I agree that we need more/better players on offense, but injuries are still a major problem. This team is bad right now, but if everyone was healthy, we’d be a playoff team.
