Thank you George Paton for everything you did , this year was not your fault at all, it’s only your first year and showed a lot of potential, just go on and do your things , don’t worry about the media and the negative comments, no one is perfect, just go by what your guts tell you to do
Hopefully we will find a great Head Coach that can lead us to many wins, playoffs and team building. We’ve lost way too many games against the chiefs at the head of the division ever since our HOF QB Peyton Manning retired. Time for a New Era, a new HC and a new QB that will be Franchised. I can’t wait for the draft.

Offense wins games, defense wins championships. We need both to balance things out to put less pressure on our future QB. Playmaking is a huge thing so I think a playmaking coach with leadership would add to our team and help the offense fix up their holes.

These were moves that needed to happen. Sure, Vic played a big part in our successful defense this year, but what really lost him his job was his incapability to manage the clock and challenge plays. Two things a successful head coach has to be good at. As for Shurmur, I think he should have been gone a long time ago. He shouldn’t have even been hired. He never found a way to utilize the talented players on his offense. The next move should be firing our special teams coordinator. I trust Paton to make the right decisions on how to get this football team back to where it belongs.
@Tom H Nope. Vic empowered a truly awful OC in Shurmur who ran 3 wide offensive sets 80% of the time. Didn’t have a clue how to use his personnel, and didn’t care to. Vic turned a blind eye to that crap as well as his special teams. Not a good HEAD coach. At all.
I really appreciate SB50 so much right now ! It’s so hard to win and that was our last chance to win! Thank You So Much John Elway for getting Peyton in the door and getting Ward, Talib, and Ware in the off season!!

Hopefully we get a coach who is great leading the players and finding their greatness and who is also very aggressive. Somehow get a combination like Shanahan or Kubiak for offense and Wade Phillips for defense type of coaching.
The emotion from Joe Ellis was amazing. That’s what we’ve wanted to hear for years from Ellis and Elway, accountability. They’re not happy with how they’ve done and credit to Joe Ellis for stepping away and recognizing that he wasn’t the guy. This year all I want for Christmas is a playoff berth

a few years back Ellis blocked Elway’s attempt to bring back Shanahan, where would the Broncos be today if Ellis was not here a few years ago

If you are a great coach you coach up your players. He did that…with the defense. He left his staff to coach up the others and they did not. Vic’s downfall was is inability to admit he was wrong about his staff. If he would have hired an new OC or even a ST coach… We might have won a couple more games. Why he stuck with his coordinators so long I have no idea.
