Gordon gave up another late game this year because of fumblitis, no? Well don’t let the door hit ya, Melvin!

    Jawan Powell

The missed block gave up another game.

Pinnheadlarry

Cut melvin, javonte is a good enough rb to start and mike Boone isnt that bad either

    Purklepanda55

Boone is probably gone. And you would like to see someone with more power like gordon. I dont eant Gordon because hes expensive and fumbles it but you do need a pile pusher. Especially when they’re so cheap to get.

    Pinnheadlarry

@Purklepanda55 Exactly javonte William’s is that guy

    Purklepanda55

@Pinnheadlarry he could be. I would still like another pile pusher to keep William’s fresh and healthy for longer. He has so much potential and I dont wanna spoil his career too soon.

Twoface 777

Honestly Gordon messed up for sure but I still think he’s a great hb and he’s done well for us this year. I still say they should keep him. Rotating him and Williams is a great idea

    Mr. Pip

@Amy Bright agreed, but he needs to still hold on to the ball.

    Jawan Powell

Honestly, I feel like the chiefs we’re ready for that play. Plus he’s not going to hold on to the ball if engram is right there as they’re handing off the ball. Gordon and Williams are a great duo. I hope he comes back next year.

    David Burkart

That was of little fault of Gordon’s… Ingram blew by the O-line and was on top of him before MG could secure the ball. Instead of 8 up, we were 7 down.

Fangio’s decision on 4th & 9 to kick the FG also weighs in. While it makes some sense to trust our defense for the stop, against the Chiefs & our offense moving the ball late, we should have rode the momentum, since all Mahomes & company had to do was burn two of the remaining 4 minutes of game time. Even if we did get the stop on Kelce with two minutes remaining, the chiefs would have likely gone for it on 4th down or been in FG position.

Go for the win during a positionally meaningless game Coach… This game to stop the losing streak against the Chiefs meant everything to Broncos Country and a playoff bye to the Chiefs. Can you imagine if our offense lined up? I can only imagine how loud Empower would have been at that moment.

    Arm M

He pretty much got hit as soon as the ball got handed off. That’s on the line not picking up the rusher

    Purklepanda55

I dont want him back because hes played several awful games but we do need a nice pile pusher that can score in the redzone next season. We can get someone later in the draft or in free agency. I dont think we need gordon

eVilleMike

Talk about “dying by inches” – time to clean house.

Victor T.

$8 million running back fumbles away our chance to win against the Chiefs for the first time in 12 games but yes let’s cut him some slack. Pffft. Professional embarrassment.

    Jawan Powell

So you’d hold onto the ball while getting hit at the handoff? I doubt it.

    Purklepanda55

Right and youd rush for 100 yards.

    So ignorant.

It was a mistake but like dont say he shouldnt be a pro because of a fumble. Even pros make mistakes.

G S

Gordon lost us two games this year nothing I hate more than fumbles

    Garrison Smith

Even if Broncos score on that drive you know Mahomes was coming on that field to hang 8 just like they did anyway.

    G S

@Garrison Smith that may be true but that play made the crowd lose any hype they had the team as well and Mahomo hasn’t been great this year

    Garrison Smith

@G S You give too much credit to the crowd controlling the outcome of a game. Besides, half that stadium was Chiefs fans. 🤣 Mahomes is most dangerous when his back is against the wall in 4 down territory. I’m actually surprised Broncos didn’t go for the tie at the end of them game the way Mahomes would have done had the Broncos gone up by 8. Your coaching staff conceeded the game there.

Laz Shannon

It wasnt just Gordon’s fault the o line is to blame to

    Purklepanda55

Yeah that was actually Albert o. I wasnt super high on him coming out of the draft for that exact reason. Hes had some missed blocks that have been game wreckers for us.

Laz Shannon

Also even though lock tried to tackle bolton he chased him all the way down with 3 defenders all around them and he was the only one down their

Mark Warren

Here’s a question for you. if I recall correctly this was the first year in 29 years that the broncos were not on Monday night football. however, with todays game against Kansas City being billed as a Monday night football special does this extend their streak of consecutive years on Monday night football

    Mr. Pip

    Nope… 😂 this isn’t a Monday night😅

    Mark Warren

@Mr. Pip nonetheless it is still build as Monday night football so technically they were on Monday night football this year

    Mr. Pip

@Mark Warren it’s true! And it was a good game against a good team too.

    Stephen H. Smith

    🤣🤣🤣

    David Burkart

…only because it was the Chiefs and a first round bye was at stake, so not really

Bryce Harney

Gordon, Fangio (probably), Shurmur (MOST DEFINITELY), McMahon, Bridgewater and the discipline of the coaching need to be gone like yesterday.

Jessie Napoleon

If Albert o blocks that defender that hit stick Melvin in the back field, Melvin Gordon would off scored a touchdown. That hole was wide open for him if he takes that hand off. Can’t blame all on Melvin.

    Jawan Powell

    Thank you

Napolean Kelly

I’ve been tough on Drew he did a good job today I like the fight and no TOs , overall it’s about Wins Denver fans are use to wins and that’s what it’s about

    David Burkart

Ditto. Lock was solid all game long. He had no idea how get his hands around Ingram after the fumble though 😂

Dar The Dogge

Noah fant might go down as one of the worst 1st round picks for the broncos, next to Shane ray….and sadly Bradley Chubb. In terms of lack if potential reached. Fant specifically brings very little blocking, a lot more missed blocks than the few solid blocks he’s had. The lack of physicality with the ball in his hands as one of the biggest players on the field he is very nonchalant and rarely fights for yards. I’m ranting at this point but i hope we draft offensive lineman early in the draft and hopefully have an offensive minded coach. Fangio was also terrible in my opinion. A “defensive mastermind” who literally cannot defend screen passes nor make ANY important defensive stop during his entire tenure. He also has NO clock awareness whatsoever. The timeouts, failed challenges were very disturbing to watch. Shurmur and Fangio probably made players look a lot worse than they are.

B.H. C.

Hopefully Todd Davis is back next year , you guys make a good team

kc 1588x

So the Chiefs weren’t missing players🤔?? (Rbs)

Tom Northrup

Keep both Melvin and Jevonte

Tom Northrup

Keep both Melvin and Jevonte, Awesome one two punch!! Keep Lock as well!!

Ballin’ Rides

Against a Chiefs team that should’ve blew this team out of the water I think it showed that Lock can hold his own and put up points. He’s a baller and the team stayed inthe game. I dont believe with Bridgewater the score would’ve been as close.

    Andrew Nunn

Why do you think we rushed for 190 yards? Maybe cause lock is not scared and has a cannon for an arm

Purklepanda55

The knock on lock at the beginning of the season was his turnovers. He had no ints his 3 starting games. Hes clearly developing. I want him back on the roster. I dont think I want him starting because hes not gonna win us a sb but maybe someday.

FINAL GRADE for the 2021-2022 Denver Broncos. Record: 7-10. A good team hamstrung by an ill-equipped Vic Fangio as head coach and a journeyman quarterback in Teddy Bridgewater. If that wasn’t enough, Denver’s way overhyped rookie general manager, George Paton, who basically signed Bridgewater for a Tik Tok video, failed to intervene as Fangio and his OC, Pat Shurmer, began nose-diving and Bridgewater couldn’t deliver the goods. These leaders, including Joe Ellis and John Elway, just sat there stubbornly and watched, hoping things would change. They got worse. Good team executives and coaches make adjustments when things aren’t working. That never happened, especially at the quarterback position. This season will be remembered as a wasted year for a decent, not great, defense, and the loss of the critical third year of development for former second-round pick Drew Lock. Because of the poor passing game, we never got to see how the Broncos’ highly regarded receivers and tight ends would develop, especially as deep threats. Bright spots: Javonte Williams, Patrick Surtain, Brandon McManus, a revitalized Melvin Gordan, Caden Sterns, Kenny Young, Justin Simmons, Baron Browning, and the back-up plug-n-play defenders. Denver has a solid foundation to build on. But now the rebuilding continues, along and the likely departure of Drew Lock, who will likely end up as a Pro Bowler somewhere else in a few years. This team left every fan wondering how things would’ve turned out if Lock had started the entire season. New ownership is the cure for what ails Denver. I can’t shake the feeling that Denver’s C-Suite execs just ran out of answers. At least Ellis knew is was time to walk away. But he does so leaving behind one final mistake — rookie GM Payton, from the incredibly average Minnesota Vikings, gets to reshape the team. Fans, buckle up for a long, painful rodeo. Final Grade: D+
