Teddy Bridgewater: ‘We’re a team that has responded before and we just didn’t respond as well today’ – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE

This team should be 7-3. Teddy must be a better player. Fangio must coach better. This is a playoff caliber team, but with performances and coaching like this, we will never be anywhere near playoffs.

    LitlRRanman34

There is a saying in Football Lore. “you are, what your Record says you are. Should a would a could a don’t cut it🤨

    Derek

Scaredy bustwater aint gonna get better 😂. Hes already known as the checkdown king. When our team needs some deep balls downfield to score quick points to catch up, he still be doing checkdowns lmao. He’s the definition of “I’m too scare to throw ints to make my stats look bad so I’m gonna boost my stats with checkdown” QB 😂

    David Younkin

Head Coach is a good defensive coach but neither one will be there next year

Vernon Neilly II

This is getting plenty old. A good team would have handled this Philly team, at Home no less. So inconsistent, it’s just flat out disgusting.

Colby Sports

Lol teddy just let slay return it for a td embarrassing 🤣

Adam Fox Resurgence Bandwagon

Why didn’t you even attempt to tackle Darius Slay? That’s a really bad look, Teddy. Makes it seem like you’ve given up

    LitlRRanman34

He has. and there are others. It is becoming evident, more and more.

    Enzo Gorlami

    That looked really bad.

    Tony Barajas

It’s all scripted, he took a check to act

Cam Sep

At this point just start Lock, nothing else to lose. Season is over, can’t even beat a 3-6 team at home

    Don't Think to hard

Super bowl slumps are always sad to see LMAOOOOOO

    Earl C brown jr

Because they took my eagles lite go birds great win 😢

    John Riley

@Ethan Culver Vic and Teddy can walk out the door together.

    WT4

@J M 😂😂😂 I see what you are saying man. These games are beat

maro10ssrs

lost a little respect for Teddy giving up and not making effort to try and tackle slay.
Seems like the whole team gave up on that play. There’s no sense of urgency with this team.

    Derek Lynch

Right behind you. I just made a comment on this thread if you wanna check it out. His response is so fucking empty. He keeps stating obvious facts about the game without taking accountability. Admit that YOU fucked up man!!! Your pockets are full of cash and you’re being paid as a professional. Your job is to give it your all for 3 hours!!!

    LitlRRanman34

A lot is because The Team goes as The QB goes. When Teddy plays well, he inspires his Team mates, and plays are made. When he doesn’t… well we’ve seen a lot of that and that is one of the reasons we’re 5-5. Teddy is NOT a difference maker. He does not improvise very well.

    David Burkart

That lack of effort is very disturbing. I have been a supporter of Teddy as our leader on the field, but this really brings his leadership and heart into question. This kind of team performance today makes you wonder what is going on in the locker room. Teddy’s explanation was nothing but deflection after the game… Justin Simmons was much more poised with his words after the game… at least he is trying to put a positive spin as we go into the bye week. Teddy should have carried that message.

    Dex M

Exactly! I wonder how that is going to go over in the locker room? That was not a good look from Teddy at all!

    maro10ssrs

@Derek Lynch I agree 100% and exactly my thought, making millions and not earning it by standing there watching and letting an opponent just run away with a touchdown. Teddy was in position to make a tackle and instead chose too pull a Cam Newton from SB 50. These guys need to MAN UP!

Sam Karoll

Bridgewater sadly backed away from making a play on Darius Slay, there’s really no other excuse or reason for not attempting to make that tackle. It’s not “forcing the ball back.” He put “Cam Newton fumbling in Super Bowl 50” levels of effort into stopping him, which changes the games tone. He does a good job, but on that play? He could have done better.

    WT4

That boy made out of glass that’s why 😂

Mario Lewis

Didn’t see this guy force the ball period. Let slay run passed just watching. Teddy with the petty excuse

BushidoNegro666

The smartest thing he did all day was cover his face. He made a business decision and everybody saw. You can’t go to war with that lack of effort. Shame! We were only down 7. Give the defense a chance. You’re not Peyton, make a tackle and earn your check since you can’t score TDs at the very least. PLAY FOOTBALL!

    Joel O. Ramos

Even Peyton would have at least lay down in front of Slay and try to slow him down or trip him. Heck, I’ll say Lock would’ve done something.

David Burkart

We beat Dallas on the road & lose to Philly at home… Good Grief Charlie Brown.

What I find disturbing:

“One of our guys will make the tackle”…
Teddy, you ARE one of our guys 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

    BushidoNegro666

He just admitted he’s not a football player

    Tim H

Exactly! but I’m not at all convinced by this team, they’ve looked unconvincing this season particularly at home!

Whereyahidin

lmfaoooooooooooooo THEY DONT PAY ME ENOUGH TO TACKLE

James Davis

Teddy Bridgewater is FULL of B.S., period. He made ZERO effort to make a tackle on an extremely important play. He can lie to himself, but the rest of us know what he did NOT do. We saw it. He should be benched.

javonteszn33

Teddy cmon bro. We had your back all season and we’re happy you beat the cowboys last week in amazing fashion. And you pull this the next week? This is bad bro.

    Derek

Teddy didnt beat the Cowboys, it was the run game and defense. My gawd, you teddy fanboys loves to give him all the credits when the team wins but never his fault when they lose. Y’all are as worse as Brady fanboys. Btw, I never had his back in the first place.

    David Younkin

@Derek I don’t give teddy credit for nothing,I didn’t like him in the beginning, denver should have drafted a quarterback not go out and get a nobody

    Derek

@David Younkin agree. The best thing was to draft a qb and let him and lock battle it out for the starting role.

White Devil

Teddy made a business decision on the field by not trying to make a tackle. A real head coach would bench him, but the Broncos don’t have one of those.

Brian Bee

Bridgewater is a good back up at best. The Slay play reminded me of Cam in SB 50.

    Derek

He has always been a career backup at best. Its just that only denver was dumb enough to bring him in as the starting QB. I feel embarrass calling myself a fan.

    Steven Brown

He is the.only quarterback who you are embarrassed buy I can’t believe they don’t draft a qb.until they have the top tier I here there’s a quarterback in college now and you know who will draft him .they could’ve drafted the guy new England picked 5 picks after surtain was nabbed.

Paul

Get that bum out of Denver. Inaccurate,. doesn’t see the field well, misses open guys and takes the check down. Doesn’t even try to tackle after a fumble. Crap. Let’s give Drew a chance before moving up to take a first round QB next year.

    CATUS JACK

His check down is to throw to the closest guy – short-yardage – 10 yards, even when 3rd and 20, you expect the double-covered receiver to get 10 yards when the team could not. I think it was the 4th Quarter before he threw it deep pass. these short throws are not how you played Dallas, did you forget or just not remember? too easy for defenses to cover – easy to see that Teddy throws 90% to the closest receiver. Even the Bronco receivers seem to only expect short passes.

Tee Jay

Did he turnover the ball?
It was more than that play that lost the game.
Cut him and lean on your other options.
He won’t be without a team long. Free Bridgewater.

Dex M

That lack of effort from Teddy not making the Slay tackle is going to haunt him for a long time. I do not think it is going to go over well in the locker room with the players and coaches. To me, this kinda overshadows the loss.

Nick Thompson

“We’re a team that’s responded before.” Nope, you’ve only won when the defense handed it to you. We’ve never won a game BECAUSE of Teddy and the offense.

MARIO COMPARINI

It’s time for Lock to start. Teddy is just doing his thing and it’s not good. This team is not a playoff team, no matter what management and coaching think.
