Well you have it wrong on who they should take and who they will take. They LOVE Cross and they are 100% correct. Cross is special and YOUNG. They will likely take cross at 5 to not risk Carolina taking him.

@John Doe if you dont wamt the best tackle sure. If you want a guard ikhem could be a gold jacket guy one day but he will be an ‘ok’ tackle. Neal has a chance to be real good and I woukdnt be mad at getting him but cross is SPECIAL.

@stephen2015 Cross is not the best Tackle in the draft.. he’s the best pass blocker but Never had to run block at Mississippi State.. Neal and Ikem are far better prospects.. Ikem is an absolute Mauler in the run game and not far off from cross as a pass blocker.. Neal and Ikem can play anything but Center.. Cross is Tackle or bust

@John Doe rotflmao. Haha. Nope. He isn’t just “a better pass blocker”. He is head and shoulder above Ikhem. Ikhem I the choice is you want a guard, I don’t. Neal is the choice if you want one who can play along the line and be good to very good anywhere, I don’t want that either. At tackle it’s not close. Nope cross did not run block a lot but he grades out the best of the three for his run block reps. Imagine that. Not only does he grade out the best but he is the youngest by over a 1&1/2 years.
I’m sorry, I know versatility sells well but this isn’t a 4th round pick that’s not gonna start and may not play for a year or two… This is a top 5 player that fills a gaping need, I’m not drafting at 5 to have a guy I can move around, I want a bookend tackle that will be there for the next decade+. It’s just not close with the three. I get the Neal pick, I’d get Ikhem at guard cause he could be a nelson like guard BUT we are talking tackle here in Dabolls offense … You think he is going to all of a sudden switch to a power running game? Lol. He runs a passing offense. They have talked about this when talking about tackles and have said “what matters most in a tackle is you want a guy that will keep your quarterback upright”. They have stated their priority. That is NOT Ikhem. Ikhem doesn’t have the physical skills to ever be a cross type of pass blocker. I don’t care what a tackle grades at in anything when they lack length. Can you play tackle well without length? Sure a few do but it’s rare. Can you dominate without length? NO. He doesn’t have the length or feet. Cross is NEVER beat. We aren’t talking sacks allowed, we are talking NEVER BEAT on pass block reps. EVER. Dude is the best pure pass blocking tackle not just in this draft but from any recent draft and it ain’t close. He is SPECIAL. He is Tony bosselli, Johnathan Ogden special. He is “he gave up 10 sacks in his career” special.
Btw get used to it because he is who they will take. I expect at least 2 of them to be there and MAYBE all three and they will take the best tackle out of the bunch, that’s cross. If cross is gone they will take Neal, if both were gone and Ikhem is there, they will pass him at 5 and try to trade back from 7.
I’d advise you to do a deeper dive in Cross cause he will be here a LONG time.
