Jacob

Likely the best Quarterback we’ll ever see for the Steelers. Thank you for all the memories Ben!

    Arthur thomas

Bradshaw won four superbowls, but didn’t have nearly the yards, touchdowns ,completions that Ben has he’s the all time leading quarterback in steelers history and bo one will touch him

    Nolan ONeal

@Arthur thomas Terry Bradshaw also had the Steel Curtain. The best Defense Ever in NFL History. Ben Is The Real Deal 18 Years. I remember when he got Drafted. I was a Junior in High School. Thank you Ben.

    Arthur thomas

@Nolan ONeal yeah I know I’ve been a steelers fan since I was 13 and now I’m 56 so I remember the steel curtain. The goat

    Joshua F

@Vinz Clortho hey man terry even said Big Ben is the GOAT

    Edward Romano

@Vinz Clortho I respect Terry very much but Ben is a better QB than him. I saw play both of them

jake martell

ben got my damn eyes watering on this presser. we love you ben, always will

Joel

I love you Ben! You are and will always be my Favorite Football player. One of the greatest QBs of all time. I hope you come back and play 1 more year. But if not, thank you for all you have done for Pittsburgh. You are the greatest! I’m so blessed I got to finally see you play in person vs the Broncos this year! I will cry when you hang up the cleats. You have never quite on anything and that’s one of the reasons why you are my favorite.

I can’t wait to watch you destroy the Browns Monday night. God bless Ben. I pray we see you in the playoffs and beyond.

    Jason Erb

You won’t see them in the playoffs. Fun fact…three things that the Steelers need to have happen for them to be able to make the playoffs…1. Win out…that’s no guarantee. 1. Hope that Cincy and Baltimore lose this Sunday (good possibilities) and a bunch of other teams with better records and easier upcoming 2 weeks, lose too (not happening). 3. Hope Cleveland beats Cincy next week…in a game that will mean absolutely nothing to Cleveland if they do lose to Pittsburgh on Monday, where their starters won’t see the field..and where losing increases their draft pick AND keeps Pittsburgh out of the playoffs, which would be the only incentives they would have to even play that game. Good luck with that! They’re not getting a wild card….AFC East and West and South have them covered and have cake walk final games. This is Roethlisberger’s last ride if he doesn’t come back next year…like he’s done the past 10 years he’s hinted at retiring and hasn’t.

Peter Miles

Ben Roethlisberger is one of the reasons why I fell in love with football. He will always be my favorite player of all time!I’m so thankful for all of the awesome memories that Ben had given Steelers fans all around the world for the past 18 years!

    KELLY RILEY

@David Brown shut up…that happened years ago and those “girls’ went looking for him. Their friends were interviewed and they ran their mouths saying they were going to “land him”. Know your facts before making such a terrible comment!

    Lycothrop HD

@David Brown go look it up dude you clearly never read the papers cause thats not what happen at all, dont take your problems out on people dude its not good for you

    Edward Romano

@David Brown that happened a long time ago and although maybe it happened (nothing was ever confirmed), he was a young guy having fun the way all movies teach Americans to have fun; at the time he saw nothing wrong with it and there is also the other part, the woman who offered herself by sure, she was terribly drunk and having an excuse to get some money from a young, rich and immature guy, you can bet that she was as guilty as him

    Edward Romano

@David Brown Why did wrote that letter?
Why didn’t she wanted to testify?

    David Brown

@Edward Romano well the NFL suspended him for 6 games (reduced to 4). They don’t do that when “nothing happened!”. Again my original statement was: Hell of a football player, not a good human being! There are plenty of females from Miami, OH(where he went to college) who would NOT be alone with him because of his reputation.

In A Darkened Room

That’s a legend right there. My all time favorite player

Apirak Lertlitwittaya

Let’s cherish the time we have left with No.7

Ben you are my only QB growing up and I just can’t imagine what it will be like not seeing you under the center anymore next season. When you are hurt and out of the game and the backup will have to step in and would perform poorly, I would always think that, if Ben was there, we will win. Ben will come back and bail us out. No.7 will suit up and Steelers Nation will roar with you when you are out of the tunnel.

But next season, that will not be the case anymore and my heart hurts thinking about that.

For the final two games, Give em hell, Ben. Hope the Steelers can win at least AFC North as a parting gift for you this season.

Thank you for everything, Ben Roethlisberger. For all the memory you have brought to this Steelers fan from across the world. Love you man 🖤💛

R. William Comm

Thank you for the memories Big Ben! You took us back to the glory of Bradshaw, Franco, Joe Greene & the dynasty. We’re grateful for how hard you prepared & played & for making us truly relevant every year since day 1. Godspeed Big Ben.

james panzarello

Thank you so much for all of the memories Ben. I’m 26 now and still remember the day after your first Super Bowl when I was in the 5th grade. I came to school in sunny California with I big 7 Steelers jersey and the biggest cheese smile on my face. Gosh I’m sad

Rob Stevens

A STEELER IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD

John Nolan

I’m 36 and and graduated high school in 2004. He’s been playing ever since. Thinking back how insane that sounds, he’s all I ever really known. The dude is the Steelers QB GOAT. He’ll have records for a long, long time. I do however agree this should be it. Nothing left to prove, retire a Steeler, maybe open a few restaurants, who knows maybe come back and coach. The city of Pittsburg will take care of you forever. Trust me

    JC

And Lebron has played longer and he actually runs around to me that’s crazy

    Yancy Jenkins Sr

    @JC does he get hit?

    JC

@Yancy Jenkins Sr Nope..but most hits aren’t that severe for a QB its not like Ben is a RB. The only reason why Ben played for so long is because he’s a QB and gets protected. I’m not including practice and post season that Bron good through. Ben doesnt get touched in practice and he hardly moves.

Allen Braun

Proud that I got to watch this dude his whole career. Maddox going out was the best thing that happened to Pittsburgh

    Allen Braun

@Sweaty Baloney he won 13 straight and went to afc championship 1st year. Second Year Superbowl. But cool everyone has an opinion and God damn Mason Rudolph could of been the QB before Ben showed up and all would of been same outcome.

    Sweaty Baloney

He didn’t win 13 straight. The team did. Mainly the legendary defense that they had.

Ben failed to break 3,000 yards in each of his first 2 season. He threw less than 20 touchdowns and had half of that in interceptions.

It’s not an opinion, guy. It’s a fact.

Both Bill and Ben themselves had stated this was the plan back when he was drafted.

Also, the Steelers were a great team before Ben. Neil O’Donnel led them to a Super Bowl in 95.

Kordell Stewart was a solid QB for a time. He led them to multiple great playoff runs. Even appearing in the AFC Championship. Against Denver, if I remember correctly.

Then came Maddox. I already stated what he did.

I watched this all play out first hand. I watched all the interviews where they spoke on it. I watched draft day when they chose Ben. Out of sheer luck, might I add.

    You obviously didn’t.

    Allen Braun

@Sweaty Baloney defense wasn’t legendary at that time. A few years later maybe.

    Allen Braun

@Sweaty Baloney I did. It wasn’t luck that’s just how it played out with Rivers and Manning. I don’t care what you say. It’s a fact he would of won those rings without Maddox

    Allen Braun

    @Sweaty Baloney keep writing novels

Robert Knapp

The thing I’ll always remember about 7 is he’s a winner, what an incredible ride.

Mrpiccaso

You’ve been the quarter back for my favorite team since I was born I’m now 18 and I wanna say thank you for giving us all the memories and I’m sorry that some people didn’t want you to come play this last season with us I hope you have a great time in retirement with your kids and family stay safe hope to see you back maybe as a coach someday

Robert Rodriguez

Watching the Steelers as a teenager in the 90s was amazing, but we never had that QB that could take us to the next level. So much heartache being a Steelers fan with all the afc championships and the 4 picks from O’Donnell smh. Ben took us over the hump and put us in position to be great. Thank you 7

    Brandon Thompson

2 picks, both to Larry Brown when O’Donnell misread the blitz package and threw to where the receiver would have been in a blitz read.

    Robert Rodriguez

@Brandon Thompson makes me sick to think about it. It’s even tougher to watch because that had to be one of my favorite Steelers teams. That and 92, but always had shitty QBs

    Nolan ONeal

@Brandon Thompson Misread? No Bro, He threw that game. Twice to a db with no WR in Sight… Gonna Miss you Ben.

    Edward Romano

@Brandon Thompson that was unfortunate. Neil O’ Donnel had a great year that season and he threw around 4 ints all year. It was the SB and he failed. He is only human

    Brandon Thompson

@Edward Romano I agree, he was very good that year especially down the stretch and in the playoffs. I actually think that if he came back the next year that they could have made it back to the Super Bowl. Their defense and run game were both very good.

SmiggyG

On September 14th 2004 Ben comes off the bench and starts a 15 game win streak as a rookie. Little did we know this was the start of a spectacular 18 year career. He has been exciting and magical to watch from the start. The Steeler franchise has produced some of the greatest legends in Football. Ben is the Steelers GOAT though. Thank you for so many great moments and memories. I’ll never forget. There will only ever be one #7 and his jersey needs to be retired when he goes. He is the Ultimate Competitor!

Peter Marenos

I’m just a regular Aussie, living thousands of kms from Pittsburgh, in Melbourne Australia. Been following the Steelers since 1970, first on a crackling radio, then 20 years later on TV. I love the Steelers and am proud to be part of that Nation. Although down at the moment, they’ve brought so much joy and happiness to me and one of my sons (the other is a Packer). Much of that joy has been because of Ben, who has displayed longevity, passion, leadership and skill at QB for many many years. I wish Ben all the best in whatever he chooses to do in the future (maybe our next QB coach).

Sarah Sundstrom

I have had a tough time sitting thru games this year and often hiked with my dogs in the mountains my eyes checking the scores every few minutes but I just couldn’t bear to watch the losses and the sadness that lurks at edges of this team but this game this gorgeous heart breaking game under the bright Monday night lights .. This one I’m watching .. going down swinging with my QB ❤️🌻

    Man what he a legend

daffyduck isnotdaffy

Greatest QB to ever wear a Steelers uniform.
Thank you so much for all you’ve done for our team, you will be missed

Iris Morrigan

Ben Roethlisberger is the reason why I’m a NFL fan, kinda breaks my heart to see that sadness on it’s eyes, he deserve to leave in better conditions, but unfortunately, our HC is a person who prefer to work the same every season, even when it doesn’t works. How they expect that a player, that has so many years of experience and some years on it’s shoulders, keep playing great if the HC doesn’t provide him a solid team with a solid strategy. Tomlin has played a lot of years with the same playbook, the league already knows how Steelers will play and if this doesn’t change, never gonna work, doesn’t matter what
