Steelers got the win

Today Watt broke James Harrison’s record for single season sacks

    Player X

    @Bruins1970

Don’t tell me to do some research and then be wrong.

    Bruins1970

@Atheos B. Sapien show me snap percentage in said years..do you understand the topic?? Career sacks? Are you dyslexic?

    Bruins1970

@Player X I’ve forgotten more about football than you ever know son….I’m too old to school casuals..I can go on and on and pump Harrisons tires like you are for Watt making excuses..I talk facts..do some homework junior.. knowledge can be your friend

    Bruins1970

@Atheos B. Sapien thanks for proving I’m right..I know the numbers hence why I stated em keyboard warrior

    Player X

    @Bruins1970

Checked the snap counts. For starters, snap counts weren’t even officially compiled until 2012. Lol. Secondly, in 2012, Harrison played 100% of snaps on defense in 13 games (812 snaps) and compiled six sacks. We can assume that his percentage of snaps seen was similar in 2008 (90%+) and since he played in 15 games instead of 13, his total number of snaps seen on defense was probably over 900. He compiled 16 sacks that season.

Now on to Watt. This season he has only played 73% of snaps on defense in 12 games (603 total snaps) and he has already compiled 17.5 sacks. Lol. The evidence speaks for itself. Also, having better defensive teammates makes it easier for everyone to compile monster numbers on that side of the ball because it doesn’t allow defenses to double team certain players – mainly pass rushers. The Steelers defense in 2008 was designed to create one on one matchups for Harrison and Woodley on the edges. The Steelers defense this year isn’t designed for Watt to do the same, especially given injuries – something the 2008 squad didn’t really have to deal with on that side of the ball. You’re right, knowledge can be your friend. I guess y’all had a falling out though.

Joe Haden & really the whole defense played a great game

    Dean Johannesen

Joe played a great game and made some very big plays, but the defense gave up over 200 rushing yards again, that’s not a great, or even a very good game. What the defense did is create some big turnovers at key times.

    fmthebaron

@Dean Johannesen Defense was outstanding holding them to only 13 points. Would’ve held them to even less if not for bad special teams punts/coverage screwing them over.

W. Dearth

My wife is going to find me dead down here one of these days. I can’t take these games.

    Frodo Watt

I don’t hardly get exited when they do good thing on the field, most of the time they’re followed up by some stupid play that nullifies that last one

    IvorMektin

Look up the Wayne Olexa obituary.

    IvorMektin

_Wayne Olexa, 76, of Crafton PA, formerly of Swissvale, PA passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021, after a long bout with the Steelers. He was at his home with family when they went into overtime against the 0-8 Detroit Lions and that was all he could take._

Jesse Roberts

Ben first rush touchdown in 3 years😭

Harris.Productions

EZ dubz even though it gave me a heart attack

Pickle Johnson

Watt x Haden x Minkah x Heyward

JAGL 716

That joe haden pick gave me flashbacks to that polamalu pick vs the chargers.🤙

    Chef Buck

Great call! Totally right about that

fmthebaron

When Watt and Haden play the whole game, Steelers are pretty much unbeatable!

    Matthew Conklin

Dude there 7 wins 6 losses. Last time i checked thats nothing to be impressed about

    Kip Mcbride

Yeah right ! With Tomlin coaching we are always beatable. The run defense is a screen door.

    Tyler S.

@Matthew ConklinCBS threw up a stat during the game saying that the Steelers are 6-1 when Watt plays either more than 50% of the snaps or 50+ snaps.. I can’t remember which sooo.. probably 7-1 now.. 🤷‍♂️

Tina Zellers

Good day for Steelers defenders named Joe

Cameron Reed

Yooo being at the game was crazy

Tino De Jesús

Bien mis steelers👍👍😄😄😄

3D Texan

That play where the first down was not picked up, I would like to know what the hell the officials were looking at. He did not even make it to the 10 yard line. That was a way off the mark spotting the ball.

    Yancy Jenkins Sr

Why have replay if it’s not used properly?

    jamicus jackson

Like with the Haden pick lol wow ppl one sided as hell, replayed about 5 times slowed down and saw mcmath was down but it’s a fumble great game steelers hope refs come to KC, u will need them

CrossTrain

That spot though. In a league with a multitude of atrocious calls every week, that spot stands out among the absolute garbage that is NFL officiating…

    CrossTrain

@Olmecs I know. But it doesn’t absolve the refs for the absolutely awful ball placement. I mean did they possibly see to put it inside the 10?!?

Heath N

0:45. When are teams gonna learn to stop putting TEs on Watt? Ffs lol dumb coaching

Kai L.

Wormley has really been steeping up lately!!

tazify.

I was there actually at the game and the refs were so clueless.

jamicus jackson

How many ppl here actually watch the entire games ?

james herbst

It was good to see claypool make plays and keep his head down and be humble this game.
