Take injuries completely out of your mind and pretend we aren’t missing Mack and that we haven’t had non stop injuries all year. There is 9 starters on the D who can BALL. Gipson and Trevathan/Ogletree are above average but still. We were leading the league in sacks before injuries and still are top 3. Jaylon Johnson and Eddie Jackson NEVER get targeted. I know people wanna harp on the tackles of Eddie or the few plays they’ve made mistakes all year but that happens to everyone. If you really look at that stats they never even get targeted. People wonder why they aren’t getting picks lol And then obviously Roquan and the LBs speak for themselves. And when you are healthy and have Mack, Hicks, Goldman, Nichols, and Quinn that is insane. That’s why we were leading the league before injuries. But it’s LITERALLY just our CB2 and Nickle Corner. There has been several games where those 2 positions were getting targeted 90% of targets. Vildor, Christian, Shelley, Burns, and it doesn’t matter who. They all have been getting beat over and over and over again. Teams know that’s all they have to do is go at them non stop. It’s probably so frustrating when we have all these DAWGS, for them to get over looked Bc a couple scrubs just get beat over and over. And again, people wonder why Eddie and Jaylon don’t have picks and it’s strictly because that. They literally are not getting a chance. I don’t think Eddie Jackson has been targeted more than 5 times all year. Like fr the stats don’t lie. Week 1 against the Rams Marqui Christian gave up 19 Receptions. NINETEEN. And that has been the same formula all season, just different names and faces Bc we been rotating those 2 positions all year. If we go out and find a CB2 and a Nickle, the D guaranteed is a top 5 D again. People need to stop giving them such a bad wrap and appreciate what we have while we still do. We coulda kept Fuller and Signed Moreland when Wash dropped him and I guarantee nobody would feel any Type of way
