If DA was just a “pretty good” receiver, I would still like him on the team. In addition to what you said about him being a leader, he’s also REALLY smart. He can read D’s and break down film like a great coach or qb; you know him and Renfrow are going to be sort of like coaches themselves helping younger WRs and TEs get even better. I agree, I bet the players will vote him a Captain.
PLUS he just happens to be the best receiver on the field today… and the new HC and GM seem to have a solid plan… and all the star players have excellent attitudes… this is exciting stuff, friends.

Well, we had Leonard Williams still on the board but went for Amari Cooper who wanted to be a Cowboy his entire life. In my version of 20 year rebuild, Mack and Williams are still anchoring our defense. Trading the DPOY Mack! That’s like when the Warriors traded ROY Chris Webber because he didn’t get along with the coach. They ended up firing Don Nelson the next season! Then ended up doing a 20 year rebuild anyway! Can you image this lineup? Hardaway Mullin Sprewell Webber Owens. Never saw it! Can’t cry over spilt milk, but you can burn your rookie cards.

I agree about his general demeanor and attitude, plus Davante Adams is like a field general out there. He’s smart as a whip. The man can read defenses and break down film like an elite qb. He’s going to be a great influence in a lot of ways!
I would LOVE to be in some of those meetings and practices, just to listen and learn from DA and HR. Either or both of them might end up being a really good coach some day.

@Michael Sandoval yall are alright. A lot of the buccaneers early success was modeled after the raiders when gruden came to town and took the bucs to a superbowl. I was 7 back then. But I think the tides are shifting and wouldn’t be surprised if the raiders were just as good or better than the titans were last year. Hope to see some good highlights out of the raiders. Just curious to see if they’re defense locks it down. Idk

I remember as a kid the bad old days of the 80s and early 90s when it seemed like FOREVER between Monday Night games for the Packers. There was quite a stretch there when they didn’t get one.

Packers fans have been overall classy about the trade. And we appreciate it because so many people dislike the Raiders. I wish your team all the best but I hope we crush you guys as well, respectively.
