Huge loss to Philon 🙏🏼

    Ser Winzzalot

It looked like philon was faking like he got hurt so he wouldnt get a roughing the passer called on him

Noah Smith

Love this team! Thank you guys for staying with it this year!

Syck Musyck

No team in NFL history has ever been through what the Raiders have gone through this year. From the Gruden witch-hunt to the Ruggs tragedy. Injury after injury after injury. All the off field bullshit. All the hate and cheating from the refs and NFL. All the ridiculous rumors and fabrication of getting rid of DC. For this team to do what they’ve done and make the playoffs as a 5 seed. This will never be duplicated again. This is more impressive than winning the Super Bowl. No matter how the playoffs end up this team is a winner. The character of these men is unmatched. This championship pedigree. 53 men getting it done together. With that being said the coaching staff still needs to be replaced by younger offensive and defensive minds. You fix what’s broken. You make the oline whole again. You add more depth and talent to the secondary. You draft for need and spend for need in free agency. You are about 7 to 8 more guys away from being true contenders. Carr is QB and if you let him go you will be rebuilding for another decade while he’s winning elsewhere. The QB position is not the problem and never has been, shut the f*** up about it already because he’s not going anywhere. Rodgers, Wilson or Watson won’t come here and no QB in the draft is worth a pick. Facts over feelings. You have a great team when healthy and whole just fix what’s broken. RNFL!!!!! Letssss f****** gooooooo!!!! Playoffs!!!!!!!!!!

@Jacob Melecio what exactly did Gruden say that warrants idiots like you claiming he’s racist? Last time I checked, calling someone big lipped is a lot different than dropping the n-word or a racial slur.

Pretty hypocritical coming from you – a human being – who has forsure said something in their life making fun of someone else. Try not listening to the biased media and forming your own opinion.

    Tommy H

I agree completely except for the coaching staff replacement. By doing what they did they exactly showed why they should not be replaced. None of them. This was a total team effort, and coaches played a big part in it.

    slewofdamascus

    @Tommy H amen

    Morgan Klee

@channel surfer was thinking the exact same thing, the worst thing they could do is not make Rich Bisaccia their head coach.

targaryen tickler

Congratulations to the 1st time playoff makers. Well done. it’s not over don’t be satisfied we ain’t seen nothin yet.

John Brubaker

So happy for the entire organization

Givingmy Alltolife

They came, They played, They Just Won Baby!

CroRaider88

Just listening to Coach Rich, it’s not hard to understand why everybody loves this guy. Dude‘s a class act

    Lennon De Una

Agreed. I’d take him over JH any day.

    CroRaider88

@Lennon De Una he definitely deserves another shot. All our players are talking very highly about him and they are ready to go to war for this guy. I hope we bring him back next season as our HC.

    Joe Oliveira

Not an x and o guy… players just happy not to have dump truck Gruden!

    TheRscott903

@CroRaider88 he may be a players guy but can he match up with the likes of Andy Reid? Because at the end of the day that the Dragon that needs to be slayed. Gonna need a big time HC for that.

    CroRaider88

@TheRscott903 honestly, we don’t know if he can. But he was missing a WR1, both starting guards and JJ was far from the form he’s playing at right now. Looking at all those things, I don’t think any big time HC would‘ve beat the chiefs as a raiders Coach this season

Givingmy Alltolife

What about Richard’s 3rd 23 run for a 1st down! That was big time..

Frank V

Coach of the year. I hope we keep him for another year.

    channel surfer

He deserves another year…I wouldn’t change any of the coaches or players.

    Frank V

@channel surfer I agree but we do need to change some players on OL. IMO even Leatherwood is replaceable.

    Drew_ lg

@Frank V would be dumb to replace a rookie dude. If you don’t let players develop, they can never reach potential and u just waste picks. If he plays the same as he did this year during next year then yes. Just need a RT, Guard, new offensive coordinator, new defensive coordinator, defensive tackle, receiver and a corner

    DaRaider

I’m OK with that only if they replace Greg Olson. If the entire coaching staff implies that Greg Olson stays as well then I’m good. Look, Rich was the perfect guy for our specific situation, BUT, I’m looking at this long term, and is this the answer long term?? I don’t think so. This year there are so many great coaching candidates, perfect timing for us to right this ship. Sucks that making the playoffs makes Richs departure more difficult, but long term, I think a new coaching staff is the right move

    Don Bebe

@Drew_ lg Denzelle Good is returning next year so guard isn’t a huge need unless he has a hard time transitioning to LG since he usually played on the right side. Gus Bradley did fine for his first year. I think we should be good with resigning our DTs from this season. Quinton Jefferson balled out and Darius Philon is a nice rotational piece. I would let Solomon Thomas walk though, he’s good but he’s going to be more expensive than the other guys. And for corner I think we’re better off signing Casey for another year then worry about corner next offseason. Facyson proved to be a reliable depth piece too. RT, receiver, and possibly OC I agree with.

Dreaded Raider

31 years old lifetime Raider. I was a kid and watched us make a few playoff runs and a AFC championship.

I’ve been waiting for a night like last night since I was 13 years old. 2016 didn’t have the same feel.

Oh and we seeded higher than the niners baby

    Danny Chellis

    Agree!!!

    Tommy H

2016 was a cakewalk in comparison.

    slewofdamascus

sorry you missed 70s and 80s, not to mention 60s.

skywardpictures

Congratulations Bisaccia and Raiders. You made us old timers from 70s proud. Pride and poise no taunting it was very special to see, composure at the end. We will remember where we were this is up there with very greatest wins ))) 💞💞💞

    RAIDERS!!!!

In 1974 I was 10 years old. My father had two tickets, from ’71 to ’81. They were 12 dollars and later went to 14. For playoffs it was 75. The seats were on the slim 2nd deck off the corner of the end zone, where Clarence Davis caught the ‘sea of hands’ ball as Vern Den Herder tripped Stabler as he let go the pass. My father usually took my mother to games but this one he took me. Everyone stood as Stabler moved left and I saw the trip and the ball go but could not see the actual catch. I put my foot on the chair back in front of me and leaned on my father’s shoulder to see the players mobbing Davis in the endzone. The roar of the crowd was like thunder. We had beat the Steelers in ’73 and then lost to the Dolphins the next week. With this win we avenged the loss and spoiled their chance and three in a row, but ended up losing a terrible icy game at Three Rivers the next week, I’m sure you remember. Eleven turnovers between the two teams, it was ugly. Always the Dolphins and Steelers in the mix and ’74 was a great season. Lester Hayes intercepted Stabler in the 4th quarter in 1980 to seal the wildcard win over the Oilers, right in front of those same seats. Lots of memories and Sunday night was a nice reminder how it was.

    @skywardpictures
Wow man that is an awesome memory.
Nah, I don’t remember much from then- a few plays and the superbowl win. I was born 71- My dad had to tell me the story of me becoming a Raider fan because i was too young to remember. Basically 1st game I saw was Raiders / Cowboys. And Cowboys are cool- but when he said a Raider is like a pirate that fights on sea and land— man that was me. Silver was already my favorite color, so it was the Cowboys with stars on their heads or Raiders. Why they don’t have a cowboy hat painted on their instead of a star I didn’t understand then or now. Why would anyone want a star on their head instead of an eye patch! Haha. Probably good thing their wasn’t a team of ninja’s or I would have been on their side! Haha.

I sure wish I could see all the games of old. Especially that 74 game and of course the entire season a couple years later….

eedleate

Why is the media throwing around the thoughts of getting a new head coach (and system) when for the first time in years I’m seeing consistent improvement?

    Big purrrr

    I agree!

    ELJUICE

He’s not a head coach material and we need a real head coach. Ain’t no way we beating KC next season if he stays

    O

@ELJUICE we just made playoffs. I’d say he more than great as head coach. If we were still with Gruden he would have let emotions get the better of him and lost the game. It’s good to finally have a level headed coach with the foundation Gruden built.

Pirate1975 ☠️

This group of coaches deserve another year!

Jekyll

The game summed up the whole season. They started out strong, fell behind, but then clawed back and found a way to win in OT giving out heart attacks to Raiders fans everywhere.

Ron George

1st off Philon was a beast as of late had a big inside swim 2 weeks in a row

2nd ive been a raider fan my entire 29 years and yesterday & thanksgiving were the only 2 games ive ever seen that didn’t look like the refs were against us

    Johnny Ong

The did miss 2 facemask calls, one so very obvious in OT even Raider haters Collingsworth and Michaels said they blown.

    Steve Strohecker

@Johnny Ong glad I’m not the only one who recognizes Alan Michaels is a raider hair and it was funny how Colin’s worth heaping praise on Herbert didn’t have a whole lot of nice things to say just kind of drab comments about the raiders

Hmong Lee

I love how Rich said “coach the man first then player second”.

Lyle Disco

Look at that HUGE SMILE on Eric Allen! He is extremely happy and proud of these Raiders! Love it!

DREW THE EMPATH

I’m just so happy for this man!!

Abeknowz

Rich seems like a sharp coach win or lose this Saturday I believe he should b retained another yr along with rest of staff this team is special with all the bs they’ve been through a healthy squad this team is dangerously good

Brian Harrison

Man I really hope we bring him back next year. What an amazing job through tremendous adversity.
