I said the exact same thing a few days ago Wes. Wish LaFleur and Vrabel could both take it this year.

Matt is the coach of the year

Ted65

You are wrong Mike-Games in September are just as important as games in December.

Thomas Pick

When LaFleur, was interviewed for the job by Alfred E Newman and Gutty, he pressed them when they would decide. Matt was going to try to get a head coaching job. If not Green Bay, Matt had it in mind to immediately search elsewhere. He was going to go right away to the next team head coach interview. Thus, he was not totally sold on the Packers, just any head coach job. Look at his resume. Matt changed many teams and positions in a natural progression while searching for his goal. Once here, he has dedicated himself to putting the best product out on the field. Matt has locked horns with Aaron Rodgers initially in order to establish himself as head coach. His Royal Highness Rodgers has come into line. Aaron Rodgers has verbalized about discrimination due to vaccinated vs unvaccinated. That is not the case. Players such as Kirk Cousins told people he was not vaccinated. This is his choice, Kirk was honest about it. Aaron Rodgers is not disliked because he did not get shots, it is because he is a liar.

I’d argue that LaFleur did something great leaders do: he subordinated his ego to Rodgers because he is a humble leader. He did not “get him in line.” He empowered him, listened to him and built trust…he built a relationship by letting Rodgers “can” his play calls at the line of scrimmage. He rarely lets his emotions get the better of him. He trusts his assistants and empowers them. He has completely changed the culture after McCarthy left and it begins and ends with his humility.

Vrabel hands down COACH OF THE YEAR not even close (I am a Jets fan) SORRY VRABEL DOESNT KICK THE FG LOL

James Tauschek

Awesome coverage guys! I thoroughly enjoyed this late season analysis of various subjects. Thanks again!

Matt shouldnt have been passed over as coach of the year in the past, and should get it this year. No back to back losses, 3 consecutive years with 13 victories per year.

    Christian Jimenez

see the obvious reason why they won’t give it to him is because they think he was put into a great situation when that’s not at all what happened

GanjaDon

If Rodgers had thrown as many passes as Brady he would have 300 more passing yards and 6 more touchdowns. Rodgers shouldn’t get punished for running a more balanced offense.

zamfambam

I said COY in year 1! It’s ridiculous he hasn’t won it yet!!!

Tropical Tim In the Philippines

I think after Aaron gets 4th MVP and LeFleur gets COY, the only thing left is which one of you two get POY and which one gets Runner up POY…..
